Everyone (but op and his friends) start with Recruit. I would check back often to see who to promote, demote, or whatever. The first person to post can choose to be a commander or elite commander. The second person to post could be an officer or elite officer. The third person to post will be a sergeant or drill sergeant. Everyone else afterwards is a Recruit.
