This is just a suggestion to help clear out the "Blockhead######" names. I would suggest to make it if they still have their default blockhead name or first time start up it pops up with the name changing GUI after the set up is done.

Off Topic / Post regarding Port

As you guys may know, I've been friend with Port for pretty long time. I've got my chance to meet him in real life and got to know about his family well. I would usually talk to him a lot like everyday, but last Thursday, there was something wrong with him. He told me he had a bad headache right before he logged off from Steam. After that, he never came back. I kept wondering where he was. He wasn't on for two days. I got worried. If he went offline for at least few days or so, he would usually inform me before he does so. Today, my family got a call from his family and was informed that he's dead. He died due to blood clotting in his brain. I honestly was speechless after that. I absolutely did not know what to do after that. Of course I broke down and cried after that. He was my great friend. He's gone now. I'll be driving over to New York to pay my respects this week. I just can't believe how hard it is to lose a great friend of mine. I know I'm known for being a dumbass and nobody takes me seriously, but I'm not playing games anymore. You'll never be forgotten, Port.

How is This Different From Other CityRPs?
Well it's not that different really. Currently the gamemode has no additions. No drugs, no new and improved crime or whatever you want. That belongs in the suggestions. That kind of stuff will be added later.
What is this?
This is CityRP Cloud (CityRPC). Have you ever spent a lot of time on a CityRP and you were disappointed if the server went down for one reason or another? Maybe not, but if you were, here is the solution. Currently I have a dynamic server set up to store everyone's CityRP stats. So money, lumber, jail stuff, and everything else that must be saved. It will share the data between all servers running the gamemode so if you decide you want to move to another server to play with a friend, you can still progress.

Oh you think that is all? You were wrong! There is also an Android application being made so you can view your progress. Seems boring right? Maybe, but when you can't get on the computer there are little minigames that you can still earn cash! Be careful because there are chances to lose that money.

Currently it is a work in progress and things might change.
So what's next?
Good question. The cloud is stable with Blockland at the current state. I hope to improve authentication so there is little to no effort setting this all up. Right now I am in heavy development on the app to easily link it up to your in-game stats.
Beta
Yes there will be a closed beta. Unfortunately it will be needed. I'll need a group of people that are willing to endure many bugs and glitches. If it is open to public I will get a lot of complaints. I need individuals that would much rather contribute for the good of the mod other than to complain. I will get a sign up page when we are approaching a working state.

  • Will there be an app for iOS?     Currently, no. If someone is willing to do it, be my guest
  • So you are going to make the add-on open source?     Probably not, but who knows. Only time can tell

For some reason whenever I use an ampersand with an HttpObject.get it converts it to %26 in the request thus making the web server not recognize it. Is there another method to do this without this conversion?

Suggestions & Requests / Forum w/ steam login

This is for Badspot. He should add a feature to the forums so that the steam users can log in through steam (to verify if they have Blockland) so that they can post. I know you guys don't want a bunch of "noobs" or whatever stuff you like talking about, but I think it would be cool so we have more users to spread ideas. The forum users could reduce because everyone switching to steam. There are a lot of guests visiting. I'm assuming they're from steam or banned users. But it should be added.

About
Ever forget those pesky commands that are from the new add-on you just got? Well what I have here might do the trick! The purpose of this add-on is to gather all the commands that are usable on your server and give you as much information as possible about them.
This add-on does not deserve a fancy topic at all.
How-to
When in your server and this add-on is enabled you can use the command /AdvHelp. There are 2 options within that command. You can view the different 'pages' of commands by typing /AdvHelp Page # or /AdvHelp P #. Or you can use /AdvHelp [command]. Don't put [] on it, but you put the command you want to view the help for. It will give you a list of parameters that it could gather.
Commands
  • /AdvHelp Page # or /AdvHelp P # - Pages of commands
  • /AdvHelp [command]                  - Info on the command
  • /AdvHelpStartLoop                     - Starts the automatic reminder loop // Already on by default
  • /AdvHelpStopLoop                      - Stops the automatic reminder loop
  • /AdvHelpBlacklist [command]        - Adds/Removes a command from the help list
To-Do
  • Gather more info about each command and brown townyze the code for certain patterns
  • Don't add commands to the list that don't do anything
  • Easier way to find the commands
  • Suggest anything you want to see
Other
If you find any bugs, post them here or PM me. PM might be quicker though. On that note, report to me if a command or something that displays differently from the others and show me a picture of how it's displayed so I can fix it. This add-on doesn't use a super good way to find all the commands, so I need that info.

Suggest anything you would like this add-on to do.

Also note that I didn't test the version that is released so hopefully everything is working :3
