Monster Hunter Tri is the third installment in the Monster Hunter series and is the direct sequel to Monster Hunter Dos. Capcom, announced on October 10, 2007 that Monster Hunter 3 will be a Wii-exclusive title.

Monster Hunter Tri is currently the only game that includes swimming and underwater combat.

The Bow, Gunlance, Hunting Horn and Dual Swords weapon classes are not included in Monster Hunter Tri. (Weapons from previous monster hunter games)

Players have the option to hunt in the Moga Woods (in single player); a free-hunting area with no time limit or penalty for fainting. Many large monsters can be hunted consecutively in this area for their carves. "Freehunting" requires no Quest signup. Because of this, there are no quest rewards (supply items can only be found by slaying Felynes and Melynx). Instead, commodity items can be obtained from Junior and traded for rare items via the Argosy or sold for money. Monsters that appear in the Moga Woods include the Great Jaggi, Qurupeco, Royal Ludroth, Rathian, Lagiacrus, and Rathalos.

US & EU releases feature FREE online play.

US & EU regions have separate servers, meaning Americans are not able to play with Europeans.

Up to 4 players can play together online. The lobby areas are in the form of a city, similar to the Town of Minegarde in Monster Hunter (Playstation 2). The city gates have a limit of 100 people, while the cities therein a limit of 4.

Add players to your friends list or search online via their "Online ID"

Monster Hunter Tri does not use friend codes.

Chat online using the onscreen keyboard, a USB keyboard, or customizable shoutouts (pre-made messages).

Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Three Rings Design. The player takes the role of a pirate, adventuring on the high seas and pillaging money ("pieces of eight") from roaming enemy ships (human or computer-controlled). The mechanics of Puzzle Pirates are driven by puzzles. For example, to effectively sail a ship, players must play puzzle games representing work at the sails for speed, pumping bilge water to remove it from the ship, and carpentry to fix any damage the ship may take.
Puzzle Pirates is open-ended and community-driven. Over time, pirates can join a crew, progress in rank within that crew, buy and run sailing vessels and shoppes, and perhaps even become captain of a crew, royalty within a flag (an alliance of crews), or governor of an island. Islands are governed and shoppes are managed exclusively by players. From time to time, players are also called upon to help expand the game, whether it be new puzzles (developed on Game Gardens), island objects to be used on new oceans (servers), or artwork used for a variety of purposes in-game.
Players are encouraged by Three Rings to use pirate-themed words and phrases such as "Yarr!" and "Ahoy there, matey!" instead of "Hi", etc. and Ocean Masters - the moderators of Puzzle Pirates - use these phrases and more. The tips which appear in the game's News, which is updated regularly, use terms such as "Jackanapes". As of December 2008, there are 4 million pirates registered to the game.

it's now on steam so i thought i would make a new topic, Although I haven't seen what's different in the steam version. (still installing)
Anyway, its a fun game and we should make a crew or something.

Games / Hosting a TTT server in Garry's Mod [Server Down]

I decided to try and host a TTT server in Garry's mod today. I think i got it to work. At least I can connect and it seems to be working. What I was wondering is if anyone wanted to get on and play TTT.

What is Trouble in Terrorist Town?
Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT) is a gamemode included with Garry's Mod 10. The game is about a group of "terrorists" who have traitors among them, out to kill everyone who's not a traitor.

A small number of players is selected as Traitors, who have to kill all the Innocent players (ie. the rest of the players). Those innocents know they are in the majority, but they do not know who is Traitor and who is not.

The Traitors must use the element of surprise and their special equipment, if they are to succeed. The Innocent just have to survive, which means finding out who the Traitors are and killing them before they kill you. Of course everyone is holding a big gun, and everyone looks suspicious...

For the Innocent, knowledge is power: who is acting strangely? Who can be linked to evidence found on corpses? Who is still alive, even?

You should probably have CS:S to play it also.

General Discussion / Server Hosting Specs

I got a new PC for Christmas, (yes I know that was a while ago)
I'm wondering what the specs for hosting a 32 player dedicated server are.
Here are my specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU         760  @ 2.80GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480
I also have Virtual PC, and was wondering if i could host a dedicated server off my virtual machine.

Help / I can't join rky's Server.

I made a topic about this earlier but it was to old to bump.

So I've been trying to connect to rky's Server and every time i try it freezes on "Downloading File Manifest".
I can't chat, but if i hit esc it goes back to the main menu. I've tried reinstalling, I've switched computers, i just can't seem to get it to work. I could join the server before November. and other servers work fine, but I just can't seem to connect to rky's.

Here's My console log, although i couldn't find anything odd about it.

Help / I can't connect to Rky's Server

So whenever i try to connect to Rky's server it Freezes on downloading file manifest. I can still check client things though. I can't talk and the loading bar doesn't move. I even used a fresh copy of blockland. I don't know what's wrong, i can connect to other servers just fine. here is a console log.

Modification Help / Getting rkynick's Mafia Mod to Work

I downloaded rkynick's mafia mod from his code dump topic. I got everything to work except it gave me two errors.

The first error was:

Suggestions & Requests / Save only your bricks.

I think a good feature would be the ability to save only the bricks you make.
That way when you build something on a free-build you don't have to save other people's bricks, Just your own.

Help / I can't join my own dedicated internet server. I need help.

So I got one of my computers port forwarded so i can host a server, but when I try to make the server an internet dedicated server, I can't join from any computers in my house. The error Message that comes up when I try to join it says:

The server has dropped the connection: Server could not verify your Blockland ID.

How do I get on my own server? I need help.

Suggestions & Requests / New TDM game mode

So I Had an idea for a TDM game mode. It is called Spy Hunt. I got the idea from Combat arms, and thought it could be made in blockland.

There are 3-5 Intel cases and you are trying to get all of them to become the Super Spy. I think the # of cases could be a preference. When you become the Super Spy you goal is to be the last one standing or to submit the Intel to home base. so there would have to be 2 teams. Mercenary and Spy. Everyone is a mercenary until they get a case. Then they become a Spy. When you die you lose your case, and spawn as a mercenary again. when you gather all the cases you are set as the leader of team the team spy, and you get better weapons.

I think the case could be anything. I think a brick that spawned the case would be good. there should also be a brick to submit the Intel. it takes about 30 seconds to submit the Intel. I tried to make one myself but I have very little skill at scripting.
