Thanks for fixing the (Mis) problem!

Something to be aware of, a dedicated server's dtoken arg is dumped to the console on startup. May want to remove that to prevent a lot of pain for people that need to send console.logs.

Some of the older saves for his server can be found here:

You'll probably have to do some digging to find all of the brick add-ons that were used.

Sorry guys. It looks like we are going to have to push back yet again, now to January 3, 2020. Development has been held up for a couple weeks by personal issues and a lot of last-second bugs cropping up. While circumstances are making it tricky, I can promise that I'm hard at work on getting Alpha 1 wrapped up.

In the meantime, I've opened the roadmap for CityRPG 4. I highly recommend checking it out to see what's being worked on, including our upcoming plans for CityRPG. You can check it out here:

Bringing you some holiday cheer... Special festive effects are active starting today, no update required.

Pretty cool to still see this genre getting development. It may be a flawed game concept to boot but it is still fun in its own twisted ways. Don't let the hecklers get to you :)
Well said. Thanks for the encouragement.

The Alpha 1 playtest will begin on Saturday, December 14.

Woah... that's a screen I haven't seen in a long time. Check for a GameMode_Zombie(?) in your add-ons folder.

Can you make this its own option, I want the mod to mess with lights without having random structures appear
Sure, I'll look at doing this in a patch soon.

I probably should have noted that the structures always clear themselves after a short amount of time, so it won't spam up your server if that's the concern.

I'm planning on writing a tutorial later, but the basic idea is that you can download the pre-made Slenderman mod, open it up, open server.cs in notepad or another text editor, and from there you can edit it as you like. Some brief instructions are included in the server.cs and Support_Render_SlenderMod.cs

Game Modes / Renderman Haunting

Renderman Haunting

Renderman Haunting is a spooky adventure game-mode filled with challenges and mini-games along the way.

Renderman Haunting is an older server that I used to host every Halloween between the years 2013 and 2017. This game-mode is a packaged version of that server. This server went through many revisions, including a complete remake in between, before it reached the state it is in now.

Keep in mind that this is an older work, and I won't guarantee that it will be a high quality experience. You are free to critique it, just know that I've already heard it all for the most part. There are no plans to update this, except for minor patches and bugfixes.

NOTE: A Renderman mod is not included in the package. The game-mode is compatible with nearly every released version of Renderman, so go download one before playing! If you have more than one installed, the game-mode will load all of them.

Build by Lake (14128), Sparky Power (13315), A Random Man (17986), and Blades (15420)
Scripting, eventing, and lore by Lake (14128)
Custom bricks by Sparky Power (13315)

  • An adventure map with a forest, a cave zone to explore, and dark secrets to uncover
  • Saving checkpoints that you can return to
  • Collection challenges
  • Bonus mini-games
  • A wide open freebuild area
  • Usable with most versions of the Renderman mod

Bonus Zones
Render Shooter v6
Shoot the Renderman statues, rack up points, get better weapons, repeat! Filled with secrets and special abilities at certain milestones, and an extra special reward if your server can rack up a total of 100,000 hits. Be careful, though--Renderman does not take kindly to this activity...

A multi-level maze that gets more difficult as you get further into it. Beware that this was never finished and does not have anything notable at the end.

Render Hall
A neat little reward awaits if you can make it to the end of the seemingly never-ending hallway.

Box v2
How long can you survive against Renderman in this cramped box using nothing but your surroundings?

...and more!
If you make it to the end of the adventure map, there are more bonus zones to check out.

Collection Challenges
The Eight Pages
Relive the days of Slender with this challenge; eight pages are scattered through the forest zone.

The Five ??????
Another challenge awaits past the forest.

The Goblets
Three lost goblets that can only be found in relatively obscure locations.

Part of the Renderman Collection

Hello everyone.

Today I am announcing that this year's Halloween 2019 Update will be the last major update for Renderman. The last three years of making this mod have been a fun little adventure, and I want to thank you for playing.

Just to clarify: this is not a goodbye post from me. I'll still be around to fix bugs and occasionally do some smaller updates. Going forward, I plan to focus on CityRPG 4 and my other works outside of Blockland.

A lot of work has gone into this final release to make sure it is a special one, and I'm sure that it won't disappoint. This will be one of the largest single releases of Renderman content ever, and I'm excited to finally reveal it.

I hope this little mod of mine has brought spooks and fun all around. Thanks for playing.

Now, let's get to the update:

New look for the Detector and Glitch Gun
Finally, the Glitch Detector and Glitch Gun have a new look! Models by Conan.

Renderman types

Mysterious structures
Strange builds may appear if you have the "Affect bricks and lights" preference enabled.

Render nights
A new option for survival servers. Each night, there is a (configurable) chance for Render to attack for the duration of that night.

Appearance modifiers
You can now create and install add-ons that customize what Render looks like. Slenderman mod included, download it here!

Even more assorted features and fixes
Here's the full changelog:

# What's New

# Changes
+ Added a new preference named "Nights" - When enabled, Render will only appear on certain nights, with an adjustable random chance.
+ The add-on now has compatibility features for "appearance modifiers" that can edit Render's appearance. See the forum thread for info:
+ Render's lights now adapt to the environment.
+ Added structures that can appear if the "Affect bricks and lights" preference is enabled. Structures will never appear on top of existing builds.
+ Added some new sound effects.
+ Updated effects for Glitch Shrines.
+ A console warning now displays if "Transform chance at spawn" is set, but there are no available targets.
+ Slightly tweaked the effects for the Render death screen.

* Fixed the scene for Render deaths being visible below the map when the ground is set to transparent.
* Fixed certain special deaths by Render bugging out if the target is above ground level.
* Fixed players not dying to Render while in a vehicle.
* Fixed "Transform chance at spawn" players never being able to attack in certain cases.

As always, don't hesitate to let me know if you encounter any issues or bugs with the mod. You can contact me here on the forums, or at my Discord.
