I broke my leg in november, as described in another thread. as of last week I have begun doing physical therapy to work back up to 100% weight-bearing, so with any luck I'll be walking in the next 2 or so weeks, but it'll probably be a couple more months for full recovery. so that is for sure the primary thing I care about improving in my life right now. I don't really have anything specific in mind for after this. I have made a long list of things I want to do with my partners once I'm able to walk normally again though, so I guess we could consider checking things off that list to be my new year's resolution

I don't like the idea of any big pharma chemically concocted government approved drug going into my body, no matter what form it's in. I do not trust the government or big pharma. the 'scary poker thing' is not the issue in the slightest
so you don't take ibuprofen and etc either right? I assume you also only eat food that you or people in your community farmed? or is megacorp food ok for some reason and if so what is that reason?

i like how out of everything i listed thats the one thing you picked up on.

I think I should be able to make a decision in early january
my most recent appointment did not have precisely the outcome I'd hoped for, so I haven't made a final decision yet. but if, at my next appointment in early feb, i am granted weight-bearing privileges, or at least a very clear idea of when I may get them, then I'll be able to make a decision. if not, then I probably won't find out more until early march, which is probably too late for me to make these kinds of decisions. so that's my plan. if I have a clear timeline after the next appointment, and it allows for it, i go. in any other case, i dont go
whoa what happened?
I feel kind of bad about my aloof response before but basically i was on my e-bike and i Fell and my leg ended up in just the right (wrong) position to get broke. the tibia had one big fat break in it and the tibia was broken into a few small pieces. it hurt real bad and I went to the ER and they put me in a hospital room overnight and then did surgery on a cat the next morning to add some metal rods to my bones. I was fortunate that the surgery itself went well and that the injury didn't directly affect my joints. the tibia rod required them to enter above my kneecap so I had a big incision there and several smaller ones scattered around the leg. the big one is for sure gonna scar, and the small ones will probably leave little marks, but they'll be a lot less noticeable. I'm gonna add the big one as a marking on my fursona but I'm still thinking about whether to add anything for the little incisions lol

I'm also very fortunate to have really good insurance. so far it's only been about $500 out of pocket for me, there may or may not be a few more charges missing at the moment but I don't think any of them will be significant. thank you, fancy tech job
