« on: February 28, 2024, 05:10:21 PM »I am very sorry you feel this way. I understand that it is frustrating to feel like nobody is taking your side or cares about the problem you are having. A lot of us have positive opinions on you and only wish for you to find peace. Your conflict with the people you listed sounds like it caused you a lot of stress and left you feeling betrayed and upset. What you're feeling is completely normal.
We also believe that your obsession with these people is unhealthy. They are clearly not worth your time or energy, and you most likely won't think or care about them 10 years from now. I personally wish you work towards a future where you find a group of people who make you feel happy and appreciate your jokes rather than isolate you and make you feel personally targeted. You definitely deserve a future where you are happy, so don't be afraid to take small steps towards it. Block these people that bothered you, and try to realize that they are not important, nor do they care about your wellbeing. Do what they cannot do- love yourself, set boundaries, and move on.
This is the most mature adult post in this entire thread. Seriously though.. On some level and degree, regardless of who is right and who is wrong, or even if its just subjective. The culture of this forum (i say forum but i mean the overall community, just the community is majority here on forum) has been very consistent for the decade plus of us being here. The thing is that we've grown with it, from child to adult with responsibilities, and adult expectations (for the most part, at least what we should strive to have). I think in some of the rabble Kyund has, it is valid. There is no more place for petty bullstuff, we should all be more upfront with our intentions and thoughts when it calls for it. Squabble results to this, and the stuff that festers here will probably continue to go on. But maybe try compassion next time someone seems to be having a meltdown, its okay to break character once in a while.

This doesn't directly effect the game performance, but it does effect my performance to create loops for my project in game. So if the topic should be moved go for it.
So I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to super complicated computer stuff. Regardless, what I do know is that I need a media extension to be able to read/play .Ogg files, or any other goofy type of file type not typically on windows or something. The problem is the files are completely unreadable. Trying to play them will lag out the file explorer, and if I wait long enough the media player will give me an error code saying it couldn't be opened, or found sometimes. I have Web Media Extensions enabled, some reddit post said to remove it and get a new one. I did so and ended up downloading the same one. I'm not sure if there are actually different extension types or what.
So is it a problem with the media player, or the codec, or something else I'm not catching?

Here's what I am dealing with, ignore the fact it says STEREO, because I was messing around with stereo .ogg music support, it doesn't matter regardless because it will do the samething with a mono.
So is it a problem with the media player, or the codec, or something else I'm not catching?

I just want to extend a warm welcome and a gracious thank you to everyone. It really is an honor to be able to host something like this for the community each year.
Truth be told I never thought I'd keep this tradition going when I started it, but it's kind of addicting LMAO, I think I just love the Christmas season feeling. It's something
that I never wanted to lose the feeling of, especially as an adult it sort of feels more necessary now than ever. Whatever I'm an old stuff rambling about nostalgia, but seriously
I do sincerely mean what I say. Last years post I spoke about how I'm not so sure if I will continue the blockparty in the following years. But I was pleasantly shocked to consistently
see a full house throughout the years even in a declining population. So yeah, so long as you guys want this, I'll keep doing it. Thank you very much and have a great christmas, I hope to see you round.

Not exactly. I think what I'll do is let people have the liberty to do whatever they'd like with the map on their own servers, turning it into a TDM or a zombie map would be hella cool.

Started out as a mini project for myself about 2 years ago, was just something simple to see if I could still build terrain as I use to.
It turned into an on again and off again type project for a while till I got the idea, why I don't turn this into an actual gamemode. If anyone has joined the wip server you'll know my plans, but I'm not ready to go full public with what I've got in store until I flesh out more of the map..
In the mean time I'd like to share some photos of the starting area players spawn in, cnc is welcome.
I know the photos are huge sorry for the page stretch
