There's no shortage of I'm new! posts from users who turn out to be alts of trolls, but one of my favorites is Raiden21 feigning a little bit harder but still getting caught day-one

Also a big fan of this Bushido interaction (RIP)

I made my name this of all things.

Yeah I regret my name too, and I regret making a huge fuss about people making fun of me for it. Teenagers are stupid.

The one advantage of having a dumb username is it's marginally more difficult for people to track down all the dumb stuff you said. Odds are the username you use as a kid/teen won't be the same one you use in other places.

Ironically though I've been into console modding lately, so I guess I was a hacker after all.

For whom do you hide in the bushes, waiting to splash with a bucket of water, or perhaps a hose?

Mike Klubnika is very vocal about growing up with Blockland. He even hosted a freebuild server for a day in 2024.

While searching for these tweets I also found out Figglewats, who I think is most noteworthy for LSD Revamped, was also a Blockland player. He recently made a game called Rodent Rooms and cites Bedroom & Kitchen as map references.

the old BEE clan that I had technically been left in charge of

stuff really? I knew Darkstar pivoted to Minecraft animation but I didn't know he left the clan to anybody. I just assumed it dissolved.

Went ahead and watched this blind since I had officially detached from BLF in 2015 and never saw it new. Honestly it holds up! Having only some nostalgia for the original 2009 short, I wasn't sure what'd get retained or even age well, but some bits got an earnest chuckle outta me. Definitely deserves a higher rating than a 2/5.

I credit the forum to getting my first "real" girlfriend, but we were teenagers and I don't think either of us really took it seriously. I'm in a different relationship now and it's unrelated to Blockland.

Given the age demographic of Blockland being teenagers at its peak, the worst time to pursue a relationship, I'd be surprised if any commitments forged through Blockland really last.

I've been a little obsessed with KamSandwich lately. Dude makes videos about obscure board games & weird spinoffs of popular board games. He also scans the rarer games & ports them to Tabletop Simulator for preservation & ease of access.

yo does anyone remember Caribou (AKA bear tracks)? I was browsing old threads and saw his username. iirc he was well liked when he first joined the forums, but then over time he kinda just turned into a troll? i always wondered why

Caribou was an alt of a user named Igloos, who was a notorious troll. He flipped personalities with Caribou, though still slipped up, with people saying your Igloos is showing as a way of telling him to knock it off. He also had two other alts called Cantaloupe & Reindeer.

Had a close call on the radio today. DJ announced it was next and had to mash my control panel to change it to something else.

Shrimp is excellent though it requires conditions:

• Fully-grown shrimp. Smaller shrimp taste too much like fish and not enough like shrimp.
• De-shelled for convenience. Shelled probably tastes better but I'm not eating crab. I'm eating shrimp.
• Pan fried, oven baked, or grilled are ideal. Breading & deep frying is too much.

It's a demanding meat but if-done right it can taste better than most seafood; even lobster tail.
