Hi!

Mega64 podcast link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhGsN-raY8A&feature=youtu.be&t=2457

Actually it was Conor, another member of the team. He killed it!

You should all buy it when it comes out on the Switch store.

The game's twitter has updates and such if you're into that: https://twitter.com/MarbleItUp

Like physics puzzles? Or is MIU! to reward the player for speed and effectiveness.

It is meant to reward player for finding fast routes through levels and executing them with precision.

Make it so tilting your tv rolls the ball around in the game

Pro strat.

i honestly feel like games like these actually work better on the wii because of how the wiimote worked, you could make the marble jump by jerking the wiimote down and up really fast

i mean you probably know what you're doing but still

You are thinking about this:

But we made this:

PC port?
Is diagonal movement here?

We are planning ports.

You may move freely in all directions using the thumbsticks.

How is it different from marble blast/monkey ball in mechanics or what new mechanics does it bring to the table compared to the older iterations of rolling simulator: the drinking game

This is an homage to games like Marble Blast. Major differences include gravity surfaces and much more complex moving platforms. We want to include crazier stuff in future updates.

It already looks a lot better than a majority of the stuff on the eShop right now

Thanks! I am really proud of how it turned out.

Holy stuff I used to play that all the time

If you liked that you'll love this.

Dark ninja or darkest ninja?!

It is a spiritual successor so it will feel very familiar too. Except we have a lot of bad ass new levels and cool mechanics neither of those games ever had.

Hey guys!

I wrote a Switch game. It's called Marble It Up and it's about rolling marbles. It is super sweet and it will be available on Switch.

You can see GameSpot's coverage of the launch announcement here: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-switch-game-isnt-super-monkey-ball-but-might-j/1100-6461403/

If you are willing to retweet this, it would surely help us out: https://twitter.com/MarbleItUp/status/1034112453632831488

Also we have some reddit posts that we'd love to get up in the rankings. They are in /r/NintendoSwitch and /r/gaming.

Feel free to ask me questions, give me stuff, post dank memez, "y u no blockland update" etc.

Oi, just here to clarify about the build.

It's a great build and very good for testing.

Maybe there's multiple light sources?

Only one source casting shadows, same as always.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Rework how shadows affect 'indoor' lighting
« on: December 18, 2015, 04:26:57 PM »
I never understood what ambient lighting was, is it supposed to do this and doesn't? It seems to just affect things the same way as direct light, so it's just the two lights combined.

Ambient lighting is the light that an object gets when it has no other lights shining on it.

It comes from all directions so you get no shading which makes everything look flat.

Adding a little directionality allows you to perceive shape again, which is what the change in this thread does to some degree.
