Even if the servers were completely identical to each other (except for 1/2 of the build), the client would have to load all those bricks each time he changed servers. The only way I could see this working is if the builds were some distance from each other, like a long road between two cities. But if you're going to have two separate cities, why bridge the servers together like that? And if you did this, wouldn't people from one server to the next be unable to talk to each other? While this may work in some mmorpg's, it doesn't sound like it would be worth it in blockland.

On the other hand, I see the reason you would want something like this, because then you could have massive cities linked together for accessibility. Bottom line, the only way I see this happening is if someone with the source code (Badspot) of Blockland spends a great deal of time getting it to work.

I doubt Badspot will care, its just someone doing a bad job of trying to impersonate him, and until they get better at it, it doesn't really matter. Besides, imitation is the best form of flattery.

Well, I don't have many pictures of bomb trucks (since most of them end up..blowing up) but I think it would be a good idea to have a car/truck bomb vehicle, which when triggered would destroy everything in a certain radius and look flashy. Possible trailer, cab (either of these could look like almost anything), and what the explosion might look like. I suppose you would probably want to give server options for the amount of bomb trucks maybe, and eventually some means to disarm them. Just an exploding vehicle that hurts other stuff in a larger radius might be cool enough though.

I believe he asked for vehicle designs/pictures. Show me a picture of a real flying UFO please.

As for my suggestions, here are a couple. A good apc (maybe different than the one in the picture) with an opening back door, and and a MRLS, which can deploy, fire a few missiles, and keep moving.

The key thing with any of the suggestions in this thread is that they end up as high quality (the way they move, shoot, etc..)

Lets explain this again. The suggestion wasn't to actually turn transparent, but rather to change color to match the landscape. Ex: There are red bricks from the waist down, your waist then changes to red. Ex2: The wall behind you is gray, you turn gray as well.

First, I have to say that the UaW:EA vehicles are awesome and would be cool in an fps. Second of all, I'd have to say that the hierarchy vehicles are much too massive to use in Blockland, although I would like to see a large detailed build based on a walker. Lastly, most suggestions that come from other games/movies/etc. are rejected due to the fact that they are overused. Your best bet is some cool gun or vehicle or something, if anything at all (unless you make it yourself).

Well, I doubt many will do much about this idea, but I figured I'd put it out there before I forget it.

The idea is this, all players are able to /warp when the warp gamemode is started. To make things quicker, players can bind /warp to a key (this could be a weapon too). If players go out of bounds they die (the bounds would be denoted like a safe zone I think, or some sort of thick wall/events).

Warping has a short cooldown (5 seconds maybe?) so that isn't abused. It might also be a good idea for it to take a moment before you are actually warped, there are a few limiters like this that could be done to make it more fun.

As for what you do with this warping ability, well, you tell me.
  • All players get weapons and try to blow each other up or something.
  • When a person warps, enemies in a radius around that person will be hurt.
  • Warp tag anyone?
  • Objectives.
  • Warping causes people to be pushed. Force them to fall off the platform before they can warp back up again.
  • ???
