Go to your config pool file and change the RAM (PoolCPU) allotment from 1.5GB to your system spec - 4GB (for Windows). Then change the GPU VRAM allotment from 3GB to your GPU spec. Enjoy actually optimized framerates.

Games / Re: are arena fps games pretty much dead?
« on: December 03, 2020, 08:19:39 PM »
Best feeling game I'd say is a step in the right direction for arena shooters was Titanfall 2. I think the big reason arena shooters don't stick on the mainstream is the skill ceiling can be reaaaally high, and those games don't really have "matchmaking". Newbies get absolutely blasted and makes it really hard to want to continue.

I suppose it depends on where your wire is leading. Anything thatís set up where the weight of your wire is pulling down on the mouse (like if a tower is lower than your desk), nothing short of ďgaming miceĒ are you going to get good cabling that is flexible enough to keep up. I understand you need slack in order to get the best out of cabling, but there are plenty of circumstances where you have to put effort in to set it up for any kind of meaningful performance. If you have your tower on your desk or extremely close to your peripherals, now you have to either cable manage, or not give a stuff and leave it messy, which will present its own issues since itís connected to the mouse. Iím trading the convenience of zero wires connected to the mouse for just a literal iota of effort to remember to charge or replace my batteries at a frequency thatís absolutely negligible to positive workflow. They all have simple systems that tell me their battery, so I have no excuse to not check. And thatís only a part of the bigger reason why wireless is better in my eyes, which is having that total and unimpeded control over your mouse.

the novelty of not having a wire is not worth the inconvenience of your mouse dying in the middle of work or games

Keep your stuff charged then, having used wireless "gaming" mice for the better part of 2 years. I've used a G305 for months on end without ever having to replace the battery, and its my main work mouse. I have a Razer Viper Ultimate at home and I just stick that bitch on the dock to charge when I'm done for the day, that mouse is probably the best one I have ever used so far. I have literally never run out of battery mid game. Wireless mice are actually forgetin stellar, I'd say most people dont have the desk setup to have a wire that doesn't get in the way. Maybe if you're running DPI higher than 2000 and you barely move your mouse around you never notice it, but if you use your mouse with any precision, you need a lower DPI and much more desk space. Flicks feel awful when tethered if you don't have a bungie, and those are just eyesores.

« on: October 03, 2020, 01:30:37 PM »
honestly this is why i just don't use social media. never used anything except reddit and i'm glad to say i dumped that stuffhole years ago

You're on social media right now. Discord is social media too. Literally any space you convene and share content is social media.

Facebook is a private company, not the US government or some public space. They can sensor whatever the forget they want, like it or not.

And yeah basically this. Its hilarious how many people try to pull the "MUH FREE SPEECH" card, but fail to realize it only applies to the govt, and doesn't stop private companies or individuals from letting you know you're a loving idiot and deleting your content.

legit i have no clue what people are talking about when they complain about social media being toxic with people arguing n stuff. my twitter feed is like nearly entirely apolitical because they give you the option to follow who you want to follow. all i get is funny pictures of bare asscheeks photoshopped onto doom guy's ass and gman doing a funny dance

And this is the crux of it. You allow whatever kind of garbage on your feed as you will. If you don't want stuffty timelines, stop following stuffty content.
