thanks!

saw that picture this morning

i find it highly amusing that the moment somebody tries to go: "criticism is kinda flawed guys" everyone bundles up and is like: "NO IT'S NOT"

you're a carnivorous oven. you can cook things inside your mouth and then you can make a nice human hambone
fun for the whole family

this should be the next easybake advertisement, i'd buy that stuff

He is. Let's just see how the oven bakes him this time, then let's get out the pitchforks.

we are the oven, what's the point of the pitchforks

haha wow you guys are a awful crowd

not to be rude here but the website is genuinely just generating a random number and picking an index from an arbitrary array of images afaik

i completely agree that it's art but calling it "impressive" or "creative" isn't the best label for it imo

and who knows, the creator could be learning how to do stuff like this and tbh it's a good starter project (making your own silly website and publishing it) but it just doesn't seem that crazy/cool to some of us

everytime i see one of these traplink website adventures or some stuff i just get so offput by how pretentious it is and how they attempt for it to be as 'different' and 'unique' as possible

in reality its just stuff. it's not even weird, it's a stuffty attempt at being weird and it doesn't deserve any form of attention at all

have to agree with this

reading the site's description, i think it's literally just taking two different randomly generated arrays that hold gifs from tumblr and putting one over the other

there's not much different with this in comparison to opening two image board websites and hitting the random button on both

it's funny how for the last three times or so that blockchip posted out of nowhere, people made dramas for them

single posts

yes he's a problem user but does his singular posts warrant an extra drama

However, Blair warned it was difficult to interpret the finding at this stage.

“It is difficult to specifically state what this means. It could mean that participants found the images of male same-love couples kissing to be equally disgusting as the disgusting images. It could mean that they had an anxiety response to the male couples kissing and a disgust response to the disgusting images, but that physiologically, we could not tell the difference between these two emotions.”

from the article, and

Quote
“Why do people low in prejudice still show an increased physiological response? We can’t say definitively, however, it could be that society has socialized the notion of same-love loveuality and affection as being ‘disgusting’ or immoral so strongly, for so long, that merely witnessing it causes a slight physiological stress response. It would be interesting for future research to examine whether this physiological effect is more likely to be found in cultures that still evidence high levels of prejudice compared to those who have made more progress towards normalizing same-love affection and loveuality.”

all this says to me is that they got their data and they're trying to advertise it as "homoloveuality is disgusting"

yes i get from the article they probably aren't trying to convey this and they probably just find it interesting

this is literally taught in environmental science 101

sure it might be a surprising fun fact but the fact that the news is recycling this is ridiculous

not saying that this isn't important of course - it's a huge issue - but the idea that it's a new issue would be wrong, especially given the time and thought being put into finding ways to fix it

fundamentally social justice makes sense etc etc

what do you guys think about mint

is good

i tend to use linux for programming stuff, there's like so many decent tools that you can download in the span of one command - i spend a lot more of my free time reading stuff off the web as opposed to playing games, so with that linux makes projects and regular usage smooth sailing

most of the time however i keep linux on virtual machines and windows as my mains because while i really enjoy linux, i still enjoy playing games off of steam (and would rather not deal with the trouble of dealing with games on linux - though i'll admit i'm not super informed and there's probably some good workaround somewhere)

in all honesty if you have more time to spend working on your computer and love doing it, linux is perfect

i also tend to use my raspberry pi for the free wolfram editor on there and the fact that you can carry it anywhere with a laptop given that you have a wifi connection and know how to set up a vncserver
