AP Physics BC -love math
AP Calculus AB -love physics
Did you get that backwards?  :cookieMonster:

I agree with you though. Math is fun, and physics looks fun.
The two are pretty interlocked.

I wish I could have taken AP courses but my school liked to confuse weird with stupid. Just would have been really nice to get college credit. At least I can take summer classes to get general education stuff out of the way, freeing up time for more electives and summer internships in the following years.

A lot of people think AP means the course is very difficult and only for intelligent people. They usually only require you to think more independently and do a bit more homework. There were a lot of average people in those classes which is why I never understood why I wasn't allowed to take them. My lowest grade in junior/senior year was a 95. =/ In my Calculus class I consistently had better grades than most of the juniors who were ahead a year in math. And unlike other classes a grade in a math class is a pretty good indication of your ability and comprehension of the material.

Holy crap sorry for the ranting. I'm going to be majoring in electrical engineering.

THIS IS DA INTERNET. so you can go play in the sandbox like all of us. why do you think you SUPERIOR to us? your not. even if you were 18, what advantage do you have? 4 more years of life experience? w/e dude calm down this is blockland

Forum fights ftw!
lock topic please
k

If someone really wants a port of Blockland on their iTouch/PSP/DS, they take time to do it. If not, at least they attempted it and gave ideas/tips to other developers who might try their hand at it.

Oh, by the way, what have you done in "real software development"? If your going to ask me the same thing, my friend and I develop games (I do mostly ideas and art, but I help out with the coding too). My friends website is www.kikaru.com.
The balloon game looks fun. I'll try them out later. I wasn't targeting out any specific person like you Me, just people who spew this crap with no ability or motivation to actually do it.

What's with everyone's obsession with porting this game to every system imaginable?

Oh right, 14 and under.
let me guess.... your 15... wow
It's annoying when one little prick kid comes up with an idea with no thought of the difficulty, required time, or practicality of their idea. It's easy to say you want to port over Blockland to all kinds of crazy things, but who actually wants to take the time to do them all? Very few of you have any idea about real software development. Don't say your mods count towards anything either, from the majority of people all I see is modified gun/jeep scripts. It's not the same thing.

You're all acting like a kid on the playground who comes up with a weapon or super power only to have another add to it or try to one up it.

You have no consciousness before you were born, you didn't exist yet. If there is no afterlife you would return to that exact same state. So don't worry because you wouldn't be aware you were dead anyway.

On another note, Macs scare me. I'm a programmer and my biggest fear is that by the time I am old enough and knowledgeable enough to became a professional programmer more than 2% of the Shareholders will be using Macs. Why? Because lets say I make an application. If I wanted to distribute this to everyone, I'd not only need to spend my time programming the Application for Windows, but then I'd either need to pass it on to a coworker for compatibility work, or spend another great deal of time manually configuring the Macintosh version.

If Mac somehow makes a magical revolutionary way to activate EXEs without that 'bootcamp' bullforget, then I wont give a stuff about what Operation System you use. However, until then, forget everyone who uses Apple's stuff.
So you want to be a professional programmer who isolates themselves into learning only one method of programming? What a crock of bullstuff. I've had many friends who have gone to college for Computer Science and you have to learn a lot about computer programming in general along with specific languages and methods. If you plan to be a real professional you'll need to go out of your comfort zone sometimes. Fortunately any CS course worth a damn will have you learning many different styles so maybe it won't seem so scary once you get there.

I'd rather use a Windows than any Mac or anything. I mean there are already alot of nice computers in the world so why did they make another? I use a Windows XP.
Urge to troll rising...must resist.

Also Mac OS was released before Windows and both companies were formed within a year of each other. There were also tons of OSs before those and after. Needs and expectations are constantly changing in the world of computer technology, and software needs to keep up with those.

It's frickin computer software, use what works best for your needs. People get so defensive and bitchy about their precious OS it's sickening.

I use my Windows desktop for gaming(only choice really)
My MacBook Pro for mobile computer friendry.
Linux for my security camera PCs.

*Gasp* I use them all on a regular basis!

Trust me, you don't want a gamer for a girlfriend. Mostly for the same reason you'd never want to be in a relationship with someone you work with. They also tend to be weirdos, not the fun quirky kind but the creepy kind.

For me a women needs nice thick legs. Not fat, flabby, or made of cottage cheese. Just thick toned legs. They usually come with nice hips and a good shake too. Something you can get a nice hold of during certain activities.
