macs perform better then windows

Any type of comparison between the two platforms could not be nearly that cut and dry.

1. High-end Mac hardware is not inherently better than high-end PC hardward.  New Macbooks are using Intel CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs, just like a lot of PCs.

2. Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) is nearly as bad as Windows Vista in terms of breaking software / hardware compatibility.

3. Mac is still very much a niché platform in terms of market share.

the mac os x is like that because apple took a different route in updating technology(aka update and forget old code). thats why there is hardware and software incompatibility. In Microsofts case they have to spend to much time on legacy code and not enough on moving foward.

all and all both platforms have issues but the apple marketing campaign is better. does anybody remediable the bug in windows safari that allowed carpet bombing?

For some reasons certain browsers or i would guess browser settings don't hold the session data for the username. If you upload something and you then see that your file does not have an author name PM me with the name of the upload and your username and I will fix it.

I hope to get work done of this today to finally resolve this issue.

OK!

so I got home tonight and saw some e-mails about new members joining the upload system and one new upload. right away i noticed the user/author was blank. That's a major error!!! So I set off to my php programming and I believe I've fixed all the problems. It would be nice if more people used the site, but also a bit of trouble when things like that screw up. Anyway people can start uploading again, seems to work fine now.

I have Firefox 2.

i have safari, firefox 3, and ie 7 and all of them work. I will work hard tomorrow to fix this issue. I think it is the reason why the site hasn't been picked up yet.

When is the delete script ran? And can you make it so we can host .ogg's?

just zip it... I prefer that anyway.
I just uploaded a crappy decal i made - Ghsotbusters - and it worked fine. so... what browser are you using, check your file types and is it only when u get to stage 3? if so then your image failed.

I will work on fixing this problem this weekend / tomorrow. The delete script is run whenever I can get to a browser - usually every hour. I'm trying to make it a cron process but that's proving to be more difficult than expected.

3 Page!!!

"We're sorry! There was an error while uploading your file."

It's done this three times now...

yea it must be you who is having the issue because i can upload fine and so did kaje who was helping me fix the bugs. the only thing is if you fail once then those files remain in a temp folder until the delete script is run again. Until that script runs you can not upload a file with the same name. file formats are only: zip, rar, and i think 7z or exe i have to check my code to make sure.

There's a small problem, I can't get any files up.

what do you mean? the upload works fine now.. and you can review and delete your past uploads. if you still have problems rename the files and try again. There is still a slight bug where files that dont finish uploading stay on, and then you can not have the same file name twice.

Well... it's okay for the most part but... boxy builds = Big Fail.

Yes they will, but this is going to be more than a one day project of mine. Its only the start, don't judge to quickly!

Ifi  can get my blockland server up without my firewall being disabled this will be on for people to see as i build.
