This is good news, the Steam platform might let the game prosper.
If you don't like meeting new players though, stick with the old. No one is forcing you to.

Someone should host a MTA server (With bot pedestrians and stuff)

Unfortunately this isn't possible in neither of the multiplayer mods. Multi Theft Auto has bots though, but they require a lot of power. The pedestrians in normal Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is purely client-side.

Hey, you should try Multi Theft Auto instead. It's more developed and is oftenly updated.
