Help / Strange Blockland Glitch- Falling Damage Loophole

I have noticed that if you activate right before you hit the ground, even if falling damage is enabled, you will not die. I have successfully recreated this about five times, just now. Try it!

You may not get it on your first try, or second, or third. But it is a true glitch.

Help / HELP! Save files corrupted?

I loaded my RPG and many bricks were missing from it, in different places. Not random places, but there are four areas that have at least 50 missing bricks. The load said the save loaded all of the bricks fine, but it's definitely not fine. What happened to my save?

How would I make it so that the player can only pick up some gold pieces once?
But if a player has not picked up the gold yet, they still can?

I've experimented with adding special variables (not displayed) so that a player cannot pick up the pieces twice, but if the player had already picked them up, why would they still be visible? If they were invisible after one player picked them up, then other players wouldn't be able to pick them up.

I could just make the gold in a treasure chest, but it wouldn't fit where the gold is supposed to go and I believe Lilboarder has done something like that.

I am working on a Medieval/Adventure type RPG, and I need names for villages and towns. They have to be cool, medieval style names eight letters or below.
I really need some good names, I'm bad at making up my own.

Help / Ping Diagnostic

When I start a single-player server, a message in the chat comes up that says:

Ping Diagnostic: A connection is not able to be made with your server. Initiating Internet Query.

And it happens over and over and over and over. Help! How do I get rid of it?

General Discussion / I Need the Name of a Server

About three or four days ago, I went to this neat adventure RP that was still a work in progress. You spawned on a boat near an island, and as you explore the island, you find different clues about what happened to the last people that shipwrecked on there. You would find different pages from one of the people's diary to find out these clues.

I remember the last one was something like: the fish have gone away, maybe it's because of the strange noises at night...

I thought it was pretty fun, but the server went down about a minute after I had joined.
So, does anyone know what this server was called?

Modification Help / Need Scripter Now

Well, the Bug Mod now has two animators, possibly three, and maybe even four, but we don't have any scripters for the more complicated parts.
Post here to join the team, we really need some people!

• Knows how to work with bots, and has at least once before
• Knows how to set paths for bots
• Knows how to make bots do complicated things (I will list those things if needed)


So, yeah. You don't have to know how to do everything that we want to do, so that's why more than one person can join the team.

How could I add to the script of a bot so that a bot is constantly in the air, without any glitches, and could be scripted to swoop down and up again?
And I don't want an invisible and uncolliding wall beneath the bot. Please help, this is probably going to be the most complicated of all the questions I asked about the bots.

The Bug Mod currently needs a talented animator that can animate complicated objects.
The things you will need to animate include:

• Various Bodies
• Various Heads
• Jaws/Mandibles
• Legs
• Wings
• Tails

And that's about it, although I might be missing something. If you want to help, post here.

Modification Help / Bots "Picking up" Players

Is it possible to make a bot that will "pick up" a player and then drop it somewhere? If anyone here knows the Terrorist Mod, when you are a terrorist you can pick up civilian bots. This is like that, only reversed.
There could be a mount point where you go to when you are picked up by the bot.

Can someone give me a tutorial on how to make a working weather system with a sun, moon, weather, and seasons? The seasons have different weather (spring= light rain, fall= heavy rain, winter=snow). I've seen someone do this, I just need to know how.

And don't respond with "Relays." I know that, I just can't get it to turn out right.

Modification Help / Making Bots Avoid Light?

I was wondering if it was possible to make a certain kind of bot avoid light. For example, if the bot was chasing a player, and the player turned on their light, the bot would stay at a distance from the player, though still following. If the player turns off their light, the bot would continue attacking and pursuing normally.

So, is this possible? Can someone make a script to be included with the bot playertype?

I am making a huge cave area for my friend's RPG. So far, it's made of 64x64 baseplates at the bottom, gradually getting higher (I don't know why), 64x64 cubes on the sides (also, other stuff will be built on top), and a ceiling. Inside, it has small three tunnels, one secret passage to a volcanic area, some shallow water, many rocks, slime, crystals, an area where people tried to build in the cave and got killed by some of the giant bugs that lived there. This area has a few buried cones, part of a support for a building, and some bones.

What do you think I should add, to make the cave more interesting?
