EDIT: server was closed because more bugs were found that I couldn't have found by myself. Thank you to those that helped find them.
the minigame will continue to be ironed out over the next while and I'll see if I can get an actual CS map instead of just an edited Afghan over the next couple of weeks.
Hey. I've recently finished editing together a little Counter-Strike inspired minigame I thought I'd share here.
The map is an edited Afghan. Here it is to give you a general idea of how it works:
(The blue says "Counter-Terrorist Spawn" if the contrast is a tad too high for you to read)
The only thing I can really take credit for are the C4 and their events, the new spawn bricks and the deletion of the old ones, and the invisible wall now surrounding the place. (no more rocket launchers either, sorry.)
The game is your generic bomb threat coupled with 1 life elimination if you want to play that way. However, it's much more simplistic than the inspiration. Some notable differences you might notice if you're used to the Counter-Strike variation:
1. the bombs are armed and disarmed instantly. This is a result of me taking shortcuts through eventing, though I have a few ideas for making ones that take time to arm and disarm if people really want that.
2. Even if a bomb is at 1 second left to blow, if the last terrorist dies, the CTs win. I don't know how to event this otherwise off the top of my head so this is how it is. Defend that bomb with your life.
3. Everyone has the same weapons. Nailgun, Shotgun, and a Sniper rifle. There's a sword too, but why use it?
(Why are police forces using nailguns? I don't know.)
4. There is no friendly fire. I will not enable friendly fire. Do not ask.
5. All rounds last 5 minutes. Arming the bomb adds another minute to the timer, though it will end before then.
6. Any of the terrorists can arm the bomb by clicking the red *. Any of the CTs can disarm the bomb by clicking the blue * that appears after it is armed. Both bomb sites cannot be armed at once.
If you guys wanna come hop on and try it out and see if it's fun, give it a shot. This is just something I took a few hours to whip together out of boredom and I hope you guys enjoy it if you come and play. Give me some tips and feedback on ways I could improve future gamemodes if you want. Or don't.
