one thing you probably can do is length of time of gun barrel smoking after firing until it fully cools down. maybe even two types of smoke (low vs high heat). but anything regarding coloration would require a bot hands down.

id just make the mod have heat and then once that works, maybe think about overheating bot barrel or whatever
i'm guessing swapping weapons mid-firing would be weird?
i thought the OSR did something like that though for the zoom

changing weapons mid-fire would also have the bonus of updating the icon image if you wanted

potentially zone bricks with the names for checkpoints - or an output to do checkpoint[5] or similar
that way you can build a custom floating icon thing without raycasting
or just something on the ground/poles to go between

its really not possible to do without it being a fraction of a degree off and causing terrible anti aliasing. either way what i got now works
kind of impressive how bad these programs are, paint.net/photoshop and similar, for doing pixel work
while paint is pretty great for it

well that isnt needed, whats needed is i need to somehow smooth the top part, which is made up of the 4 tops of the other parts that line up with it
and rotating is a pain in the ass in paint.net, you cant just "rotate by 90 degrees", you have to use a command which can sometimes place the rotated image outside of the canvas meanin you have to retry, and a whole bunch of other stuff, you can just input a value to rotate it by
maybe copy selection, open paint, paste+rotate, copy it back?

they probably still work, just need to change the hostname

this still requires you to use pre-made skyboxes, not generate your own.
was just suggesting it as another way to make them, if you can make HDRI images
whatever you find easier

ah, ok, that explains that i guess
a further update : got this far into making a skybox, then ran into a brick wall : i have absolutely no idea how to smooth this out so that its seamless. anyone got any ideas?
what's the issue, the top edges don't match the side edges or something?
you should be able to copy and rotate the top piece over and work on each edge individually

note that if you draw stuff on the skybox, the corners will looked squished due to it being a skybox instead of a sphere
i think there are programs to undo that effect?

there is a loss of energy at each stage
so plants -> cows -> people has two losses
plants -> people is only one
but it's also a lot less efficient of transportation of energy to the people

curious if it's actually better to grow food near the cows to feed them, and then ship meat to cities
or if it's better to ship plants to the cities
