Would any of this armour deflection melarcky be possible without any serious latency?
it should be pretty easy for something like this to be done, even at worst case of somebody shotgunning a car with like 15 bullets, I doubt there would be any noticeable calculation time
it's really just calculating the angle of the car + bullet and doing trig, it's not too complicated

That isn't a qualifier for a genre at all, lol.
it is real time, and strategy
therefore I'd say it's an RTS
traditional RTS's have many units to control, that doesn't mean they have to have them though
I can't think of a single game that doesn't involve "real time strategy." That doesn't mean they're RTSs.
that doesn't mean that DotA and similar games are not RTS's, they fit the genre more than other games

Did he build on the server at all? He might have used events to lag the server
normally on disconnect it cancels events of the client

both LoL and DOTA 2 are based off of DOTA which resides in an RTS game
I would say they are RTS's to an extent

okay I am far under the requirements to play GTA V on my laptop, but is there any way to make the game stop thinking that the keys are sticking down?
I think this is the issue
I get it a lot too and it's a pain in the ass to play with
I've noticed it's worse with lower FPS, so I've set my settings to lowest and resolution to the smallest to try and remove it completely
when driving and you notice it's happening, don't hold down W to go forward, hold it for a bit and release for a short moment to refresh it, that way you can still turn when you need to and not 15 seconds after you crash into the tree you're trying to avoid

considering I'm freezing for ~5 seconds or so when placing/destroying around 200 mod terrain bricks, I'm not surprised you would crash with 20k

you can do a printcount loop until they buy a gun, constantly checking
either that or event the floor to have the chat event, and have it turn off once it matches something, turns on with the button

i've noticed that modterrain bricks are kind of terrible in some ways
when making a script to generate terrain wherever I walk, it takes forever for modterrain bricks to build/destroy
if I switch it to place cubes instead they're placed almost instantly

anybody else having issues with keyboard input lagging a ton when framerates drop slightly?
finally got it to install, launch, and load
so difficult with such a broken in many strange ways game

oh, and issues with trying to join my clansmen
it's easy to join random people in large lobbies, but can't join in on missions/heists

there was a custom keybind script that ran whatever code on press and on release

I would make a bind in that to do moveforward(1); moveleft(1); or whatever the commands are, and then on stopping press do moveforward(0); moveleft(0);
