I mean, I'd have to say we would be better off without v21 (as it was released). The game lost more content than it gained and we've lost quite a few players over it. Maps were like templates. You load it, then do what you wish with it in a relatively short amount of time. A simple fun server wouldn't even take half the time to make with maps. And many servers that would have existed 10 years ago don't exist now due to the insane dedication it takes to build a map from scratch. Now shaders may look nice, but they don't add any content to the game, nor do they make the game more appealing to play. Can't speak for others, but I still to this day prefer shaders off.

Also sort of off topic, but the game would be best if a legacy mode was added allowing maps to load, but at the price of losing shaders on those specific servers.

Sweet Update.

Small bug in the multi-client kick allows you to pull off this trickery of 0 players on a non-dedicated server.

Help / Links don't open
« on: November 26, 2019, 11:17:10 PM »
Anyone have any suggestions on getting links to open in Blockland when your computer does NOT have Internet Explorer installed? Because really, it's 2019 and Internet Explorer is dead.

This is my legit computer info.  No fakery going on here.  No sirree.

Seriously, it's trivially easy to fake this stuff.  There's not much advantage to posting an image over posting text.

How's this then? http://www.passmark.com/baselines/V8/display.php?id=33378446544

Don't mind the 150MHz clock speed difference. Wasn't stable enough running that high.

i hate when people complain they have a bad computer

5+ years old but definitely not bad. Minor upgrades here and there over the years...
*cough Xeon mod cough*

Also, what are the odds?

30-40 FPS with shaders on and solid 60 FPS with them off.

CPU: Xeon 5460 3.16GHz overclocked to 3.8GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR2
Graphics: Radeon 7770 @ 1920x1080

Edit: After doing some actual tests. ~13FPS rendering ~150k bricks on max shaders. ~30FPS rendering ~150K bricks with shaders off.

Off Topic / Re: are you a heavy sleeper or light sleeper?

Both although mostly leaning toward light. The smallest things like my phone vibrating wake me up sometimes yet other times I shut off my alarm clock in my sleep. Nothing like waking up 3 hours later wondering why the heck the alarm didn't go off. :cookieMonster:

(Glitch) Brick Ownership Glitch: This glitch occurs when someone places a brick on someones else brick: It makes the first ownership brick to be the ones on top too.
(Glitch) Far Lands: If you go too far you start bugging out and the floor texture stretchs and 1x1 bricks will be 2x1 with the texture stretching

Hate to be the grammar national socialist, but that first messed up 'too' makes my brain hurt trying to understand what you were trying to say.

On a side note, is it really the best idea to have a forum thread dedicated to glitches and exploits? I mean it's cool and all to know what to look for as far as people exploiting bugs, but this also has the potential to create many more exploiters at the same time.

I wouldn't get the 9600GT. The video chipset is over 5 years old + it won't run shaders at any decent FPS. I used to use a 9600GT. Go with something better. Use this website to compare video cards. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

O yea, and the 9600GT is out of stock too. Another reason why not to get it.
Everything else looks better than what I have, so I guess it's ok.

I say I lived without it when I was a kid, so can they. I was perfectly happy with all my non-internet computer games that came on CDs. Not that dial-up really could be used for gaming anyway.

BTW, when you say young kids, how old do you mean? 3-6 years old?

You're all kids to me, this place would probably be better with more people my age..

Hahahahaha
