Oh yeah and FO4's story was super sucky
and preston can eat a richard

Just set up your work benches in areas where NPCs can't get to and he can't bother you about settlements. XD

Maybe a member of MSF or something. I don't have a thick enough beard to be Big Boss.

As I'm making yet another character in Fallout 4, I look through this thread and wonder if anyone will mention Tactics. Or dare I say it, Brotherhood of Steel.

I actually quite liked Tactics. In another thread about Fallout, I said that I played Tactics before the two first Fallouts, and unfortunately couldn't get into them because of how much I couldn't stand their interfaces and a few other things compared to Tactics. Although I will say, Tactics severely lacks on any character development or choices to make. If I can get those two to work on my computer when I get back home, I'll try them again and hopefully I will enjoy playing them.

I actually wish that they made the legs white with the same shaders as the rest of the white parts, this is supposed to be a robot, but the legs look like that of a humans, so that just throws me off

Same here. I don't even mind the curves and stuff, whatever, but the Human skin tone legs are really weird.

The Bethesda Fallouts, as well as Elder Scrolls games for that matter, have LOTS of things to do, but not many ways to do them.

a thousand emotionless killing machines > company of marines

A company isn't even close to being a thousand soldiers.

142
If Big Boss himself disapproved of machine soldiers on some principle, he'd have had the Bloody Brads removed or never even allowed at Outer Heaven in the first place. He had the base built while and after Diamond Dogs was being run, so he'd make the rules. Also, look over one of my other posts that says what kind of Robots I'd want to have on my side, they wouldn't be programmed to bend to my will.

143
With robot/AI soldiers, you are just as bad as the people Big Boss spent his entire life fighting.

*Snort* Okay, well did you know that, IN OUTER HEAVEN, there were cybernetic Ai soldiers called Bloody Brad?

I just beat it last night, that was a really loving great campaign. I even got the Toxicguy figure, unlocking the Samuel Hayden model for viewing. Good God is he marvelous~

You give that Outer Heaven avatar a bad name

Try to explain why you think that.

I will Rule the Universe, by Civil War.

I'm the Glory, I'm the Brave,
Going down in History Forever,
I will Rule the Universe,
I shall crush their Sorrow's Veil,
And soon I will be Marching into Heaven,
I'm Greater than God.

That's some sound career advice. I expect metallurgy would be important too, both for the guns and the Robots.

dude where the heck are you gonna get a private military complex from

Thanks for asking how it'd theoretically work instead of being a naysayer dipstuff like Satan.

Perhaps I'd start small in some way, I wanna be a gunsmith making some manually-operated carbines, like pump action, bolt action, and maybe even lever action, chambered in P.D.W. cartridges, similar to FN 5.7x28 millimetre. I'd try to submit my designs to a good manufacturer, and when I start making money, I'll put it into eventually making a simple security company, and hopefully build it up from there into a Humanitarian private military of my own. And keeping on topic, I'd want to include Robots in my forces, with various duties both in and out of combat if they want to work for me.

also you should read where the asimov's law comes from, Isaac Asimov's books are great and it provides better social commentary than this lmfao

I know it's based in science fiction. But people are suggesting we actually apply it to real Robots and Ai, and I think it's rather sick and cowardly in some regards. It's like, they think the machines are undoubtedly rise up and kill us all if they don't have the Three Laws. Yeah, they might, if we treat them poorly despite their mental and physical capabilities possibly going above our own, like how the Quarians treated the Geth in Mass Effect. And even though that's also science fiction, it's a rather rare example of intelligent machines being abused and rightfully starting a revolution, rather than the usual Robots-go-crazy-and-kill-everyone-for-no-reason things.

You aren't starting a PMC. Quit being delusional and get back the cash register, there are customers waiting.

Oh, you've convinced me, I will continue to live in mediocrity.

Go forget yourself.

Robots built by my future private military sure as Hell won't be programmed with Asimov's Laws. Not only would that prevent them from taking part in my operations, but that would be treating them like slaves to Humanity.
