Okay I think we have enough nominations, no more beyond this point.
Dorkdotdan may have nominated himself, but I also nominated him afterwards. Add to list? ;3

So can they nominate themselves?

I actually prefer the idea of a Blockland Monarchy.
Where the power is held by a royal line of idiots on these forums.

Gamecube handheld=/Gameboy
I don't think he was suggesting that the gamecube handeld is a gameboy.
He's talking about a fake-handheld console.
Like a gamecube in a handheld. Imagining a hand-held console that played Gamecube games with Gamecube controls.

« on: February 18, 2012, 11:13:28 PM »
i'm guessing there are no mods for just cause 2 on xbox 360 unless you jtag or something

None that I am aware of.

I really liked it. Got it on Xbox.
I liked the storyline and I just enjoyed the overall feel of it.
And I got a lovely feeling when I took over and completed/found everything in the Desert-mountain area.
Now I just have to do the rest of the world. D:

Driving car's over cliffs and things is great fun, though.
I like to get a large vehicle like a bus perhaps (Can be too big/slow) and attach a smaller vehicle to it.
Then drive that to the top height that I can on one of the snowey mountains.
Then drive off with the smaller car smashing about.
I got in it once as the larger car went flying. My mini one (Think it was a Tuk Tuk) just spazzed everywhere.

Oh oh, also good fun, attatching things to planes or helicopters and then taking them places.
I have also used this to try and get vehicles up mountains.
The most depressing thing ever was when I took one of the heavy-vehicle lifting helicopters and got it to carry a fishing Trawler.
It goes so slowly and if you go too far forward too fast or any other horizontal direction, you drop downwards.
But the heli can just about lift it up very slowly.
So I was dead-slowly lifting it out of the water, rather far out at sea, then slowly and I mean slowly, flying it towards a mountain.
I get it up to the top of the mountain after what was probably 45 minutes of flying...
Place it down just about, get ready to jump straight in...
I then realise that a boat has no wheels and I can not force it to drive forwards if it is not in the water.
So I am just teetering on a mountain top in a large boat waiting for something to happen.
I get out, give it a bit of a nudge (Might have used grenades or something or budged it with the heli?) and before I can get back in, it goes over.
And it slides.
And slides.
And comes to a jump.
And hits a rock before it goes over the edge and manages to explode.
...

I see young children falling over in a bedroom?

That's a very odd scale of percentages in the poll.

Wouldn't 0-25%, 26-50%, 51-75%, 76-100% make more sense?

I would call them handheld consoles.
I call them handheld consoles too, but I don't put them with the other consoles.
So personally I would consider from your list that there are three major consoles (That currently corner the market), which are obviously the PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii.

I happen to have 3/5 of your list.
I have no modern Sony consoles other than a sort-of-old PlayStationPortable from when it first came out.
I wouldn't personally get a PS3. And no, not because of a silly view that it can't play games or it's not as good, but because out of all the games I would consider buying for it they would all be games that I could very likely get on both Xbox and PS3 and PC or It would be Xbox only.
And I don't see the point in buying a game that is for the Xbox and PS3 and buying it for the PlayStation if I have a full gamerprofile on Xbox that I would prefer to build onto. The free online play of PS3 interests me, but not enough.

So personally, I have then, an Xbox 360 (Multiple, actually, both Arcade and Elite), A Nintendo Wii, a Nintendo 3DS, a Sony PSP, a Nintendo DSLite, Nintendo DS, GameboyAdvanceSP, GameboyAdvance, GameboyColor, Gameboy, a couple Sony Playstation2 and two Sony Playstation's, one being in the original chunky format and one being in the miniature compact version.
And that's gathered over 21 years since my older brother was born.

In such a situation, which is a lot of stress and mental tension you can't expect them to do everything right.
People always seem to forget this when they comment negatively on police actions involving the injury of a person.
Considering the fact that most officers go through councelling after having shot or killing a person, it's hardly a stress-free thing to do.
It's not a decision that is for anyone mentally-stable to make.
And the scenarios that police officers find themselves in are stressfull.

I wouldn't doubt that most officers who get in situations like this, where you have to take down an armed criminal, have never been in a similar situation before and are used to dealing with non-violent situations.
If I was a police officer in a scenario like this or in any other, where a criminal has a firearm perhaps or I'm in a riot, then I would only be able to cope by prioritising.
The safety of myself, my peers and anyone who isn't a danger would come first over not causing harm to a person who is either a danger or is preventing you from protecting.
That's not to say that I would place the priority of not harming a person down low, but it would be something that I would put second in my options.

While there were certain things that could've been made better in this example, I really dislike the great police-negativity that seems to be produced by people these days. A lot of people seem to believe that the police are there solely for the reason of getting in your way or that they're just thugs that do nothing for society. And in countries like America and the United Kingdom, it's a disgusting view to have.
It's not like we're under some Tyrrannical reign where the police are just an army used to keep the masses down. We're hardly Egypt or Libya or Syria.

The police officers did perhaps make mistakes in this situation. I can see where the one officer looking away and being startled and the officer firing a second round of shots at his back aswell as towards an open area (Where I'm assuming there may have been other people there) was a poor choice, but they stopped the man who was clearly a danger.

The man also pulled a taser out of his own face.
Those are painful and are intended to bring a person down to the ground almost immediately.
You can get people who are more tolerant to them, but you can also get people who are for example, drugged up.
Some people have been known to, while on drugs like PCP, resist taser-shots or in some cases wounding gun-shots.
I would be scared of a person who just took a taser to the face and pulled it off. It wouldn't take long for that person to move and attack either of those two officers, particularly if they were distracted for even a moment.

In the intense stress of the moment the two officers did their job.

Just you.

I wish the admins could be trusted.

Whoever was on yesterday blew up giant holes in the land (although far away) and wouldn't get out of our house.

And Freckleskitty today wouldn't leave Jacobian123 and I alone on our adventure.
He even went so far as to put TNT under his house and put pressure plates on top.

She's not bad.
I really like how her french accent comes through.

But I wouldn't say she's the best I've ever heard.
She's good, but there is almost always atleast one of these types of singers in all TV Talent Shows.
They're always cropping up in X Factor or Britain's Got Talent.

I dunno if she won this contest or not, but she probably wouldn't on Britain's Got Talent. They tend to vote in the dance acts and similar things over the singing. Singers can just go on X Factor.

I definetly going to get this game.

1) I honestly hope they keep most of the gameplay around 1500 A.D. Just because I loved knights and castles, stuff like that. Medieval stuff.

2) Black market guys need to go

3) Jannisaries (jeez)

4) I didnt care for the Mediterrainan defense stuff

5) They need more weapons and such also

6) and definitely more cities (Only Constantinople and Underworld, really?)

1) I personally like the medieval theme to it, but I would like more. But I don't want the game to revolve entirely around gun slinging. It's difficult to find a time that would have an interesting mix of weaponry aswell as be historically interesting. I mainly like the idea of the French Revolution because I like the idea of free-roaming around Paris and other cities. (Although I did this in The Saboteur)

2) The Black Market guys I agree on. They offered nothing of use in Revelations.

3) I didn't mind the idea of the Janissaries too much, but they were bloody annoying. I like an enemy who is a bit of a challenge, which is why I liked the very large bulky guys, but the Janissaries were too much and too often. Once every single guard unit has one it becomes impossible to do things like the Mercernaries Guild Challenge of getting a 5x Kill Combo on 10 occassions. Because Janissaries can't be combo-killed, only whittled down by repetetive attacks.
They obviously wouldn't be Janissaries in ACIII unless it's set in the same time period in Constantinopole, but I would like a harder opponent, but one who isn't there constantly all the time.

4) Mediterannean Defense was a sort of interesting meta-game, but at the same time, I only ever did it if I happened to see a carrier pigeon nest, in which case I'd have a fancy for it. I didn't care for taking over the entire map or keeping them in control. I wouldn't mind seeing it back, but I would be sad to see it go.
Unfortunately, it's kind of crucial to your Assassin's thing, because otherwise, if you don't use your Assassin's ever, then you've got nothing to do with them.

5) They need more weapons and more armours. And not perfect ones that I can get at the beginning of the game or what have you! In Revelations I seemed to have gotten a perfect armour set from collecting either all of the letters or going to all of the book locations. And I had done that prior to even buying all of the Tier-2 armours.
And the same thing happened with weapons.
I personally just like to stick to heavy weapons now, just because they have cooler kill-combos and actions and I love just throwing a giant halberd into a persons face.

6) More cities that you personally travel to. Assassin's Creed I was great for letting me go to Acer, Jerusalem and Damascus. I loved that. The inbetween riding wasn't always fun and I couldn't be compelled to hunt down all the flags and Templars inbetween the lands, but I enjoyed having new playing grounds throughout the game. And in ACII, I loved going to however many cities you do actually go to. I can't even remember, but I just love how I wasn't restricted and I kept getting new places with new challenges and new scenery and forms of buildings to climb and get around.
AC:Brotherhood was absolutely pissingly annoying. I've come to love it since for it's other charms, but being stranded in Rome? That is just so boring. It might be reasonably large, but that doesn't mean I don't end up finding myself in the same place again and again and again.
It's just not fun after a long time in what is a fairly small area.
And Constantinopole somehow managed to seem larger. Or maybe I just wasn't quite as good at picking out the landmarks of the area, but it was equally frustrating with not having lots of new things to see.

If there aren't more cities to travel to (Whether fast-travelling or actually riding there yourself) I will be rather upset on that front with ACIII.

Bump

Do you guys plan on getting this?

What time period do you hope this will be?

What do you want to see removed from the previous series?
I'll get it.
It'd be pointless getting 4 out of 5 of the series and not finishing it off.

I'm hoping it's slightly more towards our time, but not drastically so.
Revelations was set in 1511, so I wouldn't mind seeing it come forward by a bit. A couple hundred years, say?
Personally, I would like the idea of a game set in the 1700's with the French Revolution sounding quite cool to me.

I'd personally prefer if the game was still based in Europe particularly and around the Mediterranean.

And I really disliked the tower-defence style minigame from Revelations.
Partially because I got stuck on one of them, but also because I felt that it just didn't feel... right, to me.
And then since I couldn't do it, I couldn't complete my last Assassin's Guild Challenge. >:C
