Also how can you even have a religion test isn't religion opinionated to a large degree?
It's not made in a way where it forces you to say that you believe in God.
It's instead asking questions on the lines of: "What are Christian views to gambling?" and "What are Muslim views to Alcohol?"
You just answer the question from that religions viewpoint and it's rather simple.
I didn't have to study at all for the actual exam. The very large majority of the things that I had to know about religion for the exam, I knew prior to even getting into the class for it. The hardest part of it was remembering quotes from Christian and Muslim teachings.
The thing about that though is that you can get marks for not even giving your source correctly.
It is entirely possible for you to make up a religious-sounding quote from the Quran and not give where it's from within the Quran. No examiner is going to sift through the entire Quran to find your quotation. And that's mostly the same with the Bible. You just have to be careful because they often atleast expect you to know the book that it's in if it's from the Bible. But even then, they're hardly likely to go reading through all of Deuteronomy or any other book for it.
In the end, after little work at all for the course, I came out with an A* in it, so, it was pretty damn easy.
What exactly was the test?
As in, does it actually relate to anything worthwhile?
Will it lead to a qualification or anything?
Well, if it did lead to a qualification then your school is stupid for giving you a break in it, considering the fact that you shouldn't be able to get out and search up the answers and if you had your paper would likely not be marked and instead disqualified.
I personally wouldn't call it cheating.
You didn't ask for the answer. You did mention not knowing it however, so, it could be said that you possibly intended for someone to search it up.
But I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.
Your friend said it outloud and you had no control over that. And once you knew the answer it's not possible to just forget it.
It would be absolutely stupid to not put down an answer that you know.
And considering that you only learnt that one answer which you didn't previously, and the fact that your school let you go and have a break, as well as talk to each other and gain access to your belongings including notes, it's hardly fair to pin the blame upon you.
