A religion test and there was a question on oil?

Also how can you even have a religion test isn't religion opinionated to a large degree?
The Religious Education exam I did is quite fair on not being opinionated.
It's not made in a way where it forces you to say that you believe in God.

It's instead asking questions on the lines of: "What are Christian views to gambling?" and "What are Muslim views to Alcohol?"
You just answer the question from that religions viewpoint and it's rather simple.

I didn't have to study at all for the actual exam. The very large majority of the things that I had to know about religion for the exam, I knew prior to even getting into the class for it. The hardest part of it was remembering quotes from Christian and Muslim teachings.
The thing about that though is that you can get marks for not even giving your source correctly.
It is entirely possible for you to make up a religious-sounding quote from the Quran and not give where it's from within the Quran. No examiner is going to sift through the entire Quran to find your quotation. And that's mostly the same with the Bible. You just have to be careful because they often atleast expect you to know the book that it's in if it's from the Bible. But even then, they're hardly likely to go reading through all of Deuteronomy or any other book for it.

In the end, after little work at all for the course, I came out with an A* in it, so, it was pretty damn easy.

What exactly was the test?
As in, does it actually relate to anything worthwhile?
Will it lead to a qualification or anything?

Well, if it did lead to a qualification then your school is stupid for giving you a break in it, considering the fact that you shouldn't be able to get out and search up the answers and if you had your paper would likely not be marked and instead disqualified.

I personally wouldn't call it cheating.
You didn't ask for the answer. You did mention not knowing it however, so, it could be said that you possibly intended for someone to search it up.
But I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.
Your friend said it outloud and you had no control over that. And once you knew the answer it's not possible to just forget it.
It would be absolutely stupid to not put down an answer that you know.

And considering that you only learnt that one answer which you didn't previously, and the fact that your school let you go and have a break, as well as talk to each other and gain access to your belongings including notes, it's hardly fair to pin the blame upon you.

Back when they first started dropping you could sell them for lods e muney, But now they're worth about 10 EC last I checked.
I went to the exchange earlier on and decided to have a look for them.
A large number were going for 1 EC with a few being sold for about 10 or so, with the few people who probably didn't compare or were just being silly, put them up for a few thousand.

I decided to try and maybe be sneaky and bought up most of the "10 boxes = 1-EC" ones and then put them back on for 5 EC for a pack of 10.
Mmmaaaaaybe make a little tiny bit of money if someone wants them?
But if not I'll just delete them. I only wasted about 15 EC. I could make that back by selling food to vendors.

And I don't know if they were like this before, but people are now selling Keys for atleast 1 million EC. So, the demand for keys might have risen that up or it may not. I've never checked the average price for selling them before.

Completed the Klingon missions, onto the Romulan ones.
I really really hate the Heavy Plasma Torcreeps...

By the time I'm able to get my next phaser array to go for them they've already hit me.
Or I get some unfortunate shot where all my phaser blasts miss.

Edit: I also lost my first duty officer the other day.
To a mission with low casualty risk and a 90% chance of success/critical success. >:C
One person got injured and the other died. A green guy died! >:c

Edit Edit: Also just wondering, is there any real chance of earning money off of these Cardassian Lockboxes?
I've got so many of them that I'd consider putting them on the exchange, but I can't help but think that the market would be entirely oversaturated with them. They're probably worthless, but if not I might try making a little bit out of them.

Off Topic / Re: Greek or Roman gods?
« on: February 16, 2012, 12:24:25 PM »
Roman the Greeks couldn't expand their territory at all while the Romans had one of the biggest empires ever built, so their gods are clearly better.
The Greeks were a sea-faring people and had little land to live on and little land-based war tactics.
They were much more tribal than the Romans who only sprang up as a superpower because of a few roman families that existed on the hills of Rome and made a goal of conquering more tribes and keeping them under control.

The Romans then were able to excell so far because they would conquer people and then take in their abilities and customs.
For example, the Romans were never good sea-farers and once they conquered Greece they had a reasonably suitable navy.

But the Romans expanded too much and had an extremely poor government system for their situation. It worked perfectly when they were a single city or just Italy, but once they spread out to the rest of Europe and Asia Minor and Africa, they weren't effective and it led massively to it's own destruction and the fall of the Roman Republic.

The Roman Gods were the same as the Greek Gods, since the Romans conquered Greece and took on board their gods for a more centralised belief, although for most of the time of the late Roman Republic and early Roman Empire, Rome had hundreds of different cults of religions, which included Judaism and later on Christianity.
Religion wasn't super big for the Romans. They practiced the worship but they never relied upon it as much as the Greeks did.

Personally, I much prefer the Greek names for the gods. They're more original and sound more like names than the Roman versions, if that makes sense.
I'm just imagining the story of the Illiad or the Odyssey with all the gods referred to as their Roman versions. It just doesn't work so well.

And I love that I get to study them too as part of my Classical Civilisation course. :D <3

My School HDD is 103GB
Blockland, Chrome, Minecraft, and School work.
Free Space: 63.1GB
feels good man
I never understand how I hear of people who put games onto their school computers and then play them.
When do you get the chance?
How long are your lunch breaks?

At my schools you would have 45 minutes on average for a lunch break.
Not enough time to eat your lunch and go get on a computer and play around for a worthwhile amount of time, especially since we were never allowed food or drink in the computer rooms.
You could theoretically do it at my college if you have Hour+ breaks, which I do, but the college computers are only for actual work and you'd be kicked out if you were using them to play games when other people need computers for work.
The only possible way I could play videogames at college would be if I bought in my own laptop.

It's almost pointless saving things to the school system at my college because you're far from guaranteed to be able to get a computer when you need it.
I have a couple powerpoints and word documents on there from lessons that I've spent in computer rooms, but that's about it.
Anything else I'll save to a memory stick or e-mail it to myself and access/print it at home.

Why do you cigarettes insist on implying we NEED drugs. for forgets sake get it through your ignorant skulls tjat we do them because we made a conscious, thought out choice. no we dont need pot. no we never will. does that mean we cant do it? no.
Why bother using it when you don't need it?
There are more enjoyable ways that don't cost as much and aren't illegal to have fun.

When we say "Need" we don't mean that you have an absolute necessity to do it. We're using it in the sense that you feel any need to do it at all when you could do anything else.

-snip-
I'm gonna go for Option D: Phaggot.

I think he died.
With all the milk and butter recommended in this topic, I'm gonna assume he had too much cholesterol.

That actually might, but imagine the reaction of someone who walks in and sees him pouring milk there  :cookieMonster:
A normal evening in the Dooble residence.

I've had random lights appear on bricks. It's very annoying.
It's aliens contacting you.
And you're just ignoring them. How rude.

No, you said his whole point was "you shouldn't need to resort to chemicals for pleasure?"

That's not really a point, it's just him trying to tell me (or anyone else) what we shouldn't do just because he says so.
You shouldn't need to resort to putting drugs into your body to have fun though.
You shouldn't decide that you want to put drugs into your body to have fun.
Why any person who does take drugs to enjoy themselves comes to that decision in the firstplace I don't know. Aren't there other more convenient, hygienic, nicer and cheaper ways to have fun?

Yay, 20 C Credits.
I am rolling in the dough.

While I am saving up for enough C-Credits to buy something worthwhile, I'm not quite sure what to spend it on.
I was thinking about buying a CardassianCrateKey, but really, I've heard that there's only a very small chance of recieving a Cardassian Cruiser and I don't know how good they are themselves.

Is there anything else that would be more worth my savings?
I'm not going to spend it on clothing packs.

Seeing that you don't even know what DARE is saddens me.
Drug Abuse Resistance Education

British.
We don't need full programs with "qualifications" to educate our children on the dangers of drugs.

From what I've just found, "DARE UK" is tiny. And judging from pictures it teaches 9 year olds.

Quote from: DAREUK
Scott Gilliam, Director of Training for DARE US, showed his true commitment to the cause during his recent visit to the UK, by not only holding the Union Jack as he joined the Lord Mayors’ Parade in London, but he also endured a full day of our finest, relentless, rain. Well done Scott!!
Very well done. He's not even holding a Union Jack in the picture.
