Off Topic / Re: Hosting a mincraft server through Hamachi
« on: February 11, 2012, 05:39:58 PM »
Why are people always trying to host minecraft with hamachi?
Just portforward its easy.
Depends on the router.
Some are just stuffty or overcomplex or do their own thing.
I have a Thomson Speedtouch until recently and even if I followed port-forwarding for it completely correctly, it would revert itself back to normal constantly and ignore any ports that were forwarded.

I've got a new router from Sky now though, but I haven't looked into port-forwarding on it yet.
Hopefully it can and I'll be able to host servers without Hamachi and my Blockland server will definitely run.
Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Although it hasn't for some time now.

Off Topic / Re: Is it possible to love a fictional character?
« on: February 11, 2012, 12:31:56 PM »
I would agree that you can love it.
Love can be based entirely on just a few characteristics.
If that's loving a character just because of how they're depicted, then I'd consider it love.

I wouldn't say you'd have to have interacted with them to love them.
For example, in plenty of relationships, one person loves another for their character, even if in person, that person they love can be abusive.
I wouldn't find it possible to love someone because they're abusive, but you can certainly love their character which you initially fell in love with.

So, what was actually on this website?
If it's just general info on the CIA, is it even important at all if you take it down?
What sort of threat does it show if you're crashing safe sites?

I love Terra Nova. :3

But if there's a program that I always watch, then it's EastEnders.
Yay for soap operas.

It makes soo much noise.
Not exactly sneaky.

And at 2:27 it looks hilarious.
It looks like two fauns jumping around.

and free
Winrar is free, in a sense.

It's supposed to have a trial limit but it doesn't de-activate after that...
And it doesn't come up with any "buy now" notices if you're just extracting or compressing.

I like Winrar, but unfortunately, if I'm looking inside a zipped folder, I have no idea what's going on if I use WinRar.
Whereas with 7Zip, I do. But I don't often use 7Zip unless a scenario means that Winrar is being tricky with me.

« on: February 10, 2012, 05:11:24 PM »
So, from what I can tell, theie view is that terrorists are going to use internet cafes to use Google Earth in order to plan out terrorist attacks.
And in those internet cafes, they will get thirsty and will order a coffee.
And since they don't want to be tracked, they will use coins and notes, not credit or debit cards.

And once they've drunk their evil terrorist coffee, they'll wish to become a professional scuba-diver in order to plant underwater bombs around all of America's biggest cities.

A forced fad is when someone deliberately attempts to start a fad, not when they're threatening to kill you if you don't join the loving fad.
Avatar fads are only cool when they happen by themselves, like that Cup o' Joe one, though that got a thread later on
The two Cookie Monster ones were my absolute favourites.
Yeah, you could argue that it was forced a little bit, but I liked it and all the creative things we made.

Still proud of my Joker Monster and Bomb Animation.
