You should be able to get most of the ID's of these players by using the RTB Player Search tool.

General Discussion / Re: The Blockland Expositor
« on: January 07, 2012, 05:42:06 PM »
I really like these.
The short style is really rather interesting, and it's not entirely talking about the same sort of things.

I think it would be interesting to include atleast one article that features, say, the number 1 Gallery Topic of the week, or ask for recommendations of really interesting servers visited during the week, where the author could attempt to visit, experience and feed back about some good servers currently running.
Similarly, you could try including top Add-Ons of the week, or other discussed mods/add-ons from the Modding Forums, as well as continue with the Clan topics. But I personally would advise to stay away from including things from the Drama section, even if it's directly related to Blockland. I think it's nicer to give praise or raise discussion over new clans and servers and builds, rather than to criticise the actions of a few, considering how short you keep the articles.

I'd like to suggest that it would be a little bit longer, perhaps including 3-4 larger articles and 1-2 smaller articles an issue, but that would be something for the author to think about himself. It wouldn't be fair to ask for him to over-run himself on just his third issue.

While I do enjoy the PDF file system, and I approve it over the blog system, I do think that implementing the two together via a Tumblr account would work quite well.
For example, simply posting a link and a message about the latest issue. That could be a brief synopsis on what's covered and then the link to the PDF.

Long post on ideas aside, I really enjoyed both of them.
I look forward to seeing more.
But I do think they should be spaces apart a little more.

It's not like Blockland is explicitely aimed at a certain age-group.

It's not really aimed at an age group, as it is more at a fan-group.
If you're interested in Lego or building-blocks or sandbox games, then that's who Blockland is aimed at.

The "mature" thing just comes from the users who play Blockland.
Once you get down to actually playing online, most people make a server, and then aim that towards their own different "markets".
For example, if I'm hosting a free-build, then I don't care what age group I get. If I'm hosting a serious roleplay, then I only want mature people. If I'm hosting a serious deathmatch or teamdeathmatch, then I might not want only casual players, but rather serious players.

Blockland itself is aimed at anyone who likes Lego and sandbox games.
Individual servers are aimed at more specific audiences.
And the forums, well, certain areas are aimed at certain people.
Off Topic can be slightly more adult than expected, but that doesn't exactly make it more mature.
If it were really a problem that members of these forums weren't always inviting to certain types of people, then it's really the Mod's problem in that they should put a stop to it.

None
This.

No proper bands play near me other than pathetic local indie bands or crap country-singers.

Happy New Year from South West England!

Here's hoping 2012 is a great one.

I don't have any resolutions, but I hope that it's an enjoyable year.

Off Topic / Re: Why do people cuss?
« on: December 27, 2011, 12:31:48 PM »
i hate people who hate swearing.

op is not referring to some kid doing it non stop to where its becoming meaningless. he means anyone for any reason.
grow up. "cussing" isnt so bad.
I agree with this.
There are those who use it occasionally in discussion, whether that's using it when talking to your friends or even on the internet.

Then there are the people who try to fit swears into sentences just for the sake of fitting one in.
It's in those cases where it's stupid and unnecessary.

But in any other case, swearing is a piece of the English vocabulary. It allows a broader and more fitting way to explain things and apply emotion to what you say.
I think there are times and places to use it, but just because you do use it in some situation doesn't make you a bad person.

Easiest way to prove he's not real :)
You can count to 1 billion in about 60 years, can't count to 3 billion in a lifetime.
Meaning?
Santa lives longer than a single lifetime, and he has lots and lots of helper elf's.

Cool, especially when I break my arm or something - I'll be able to use the other hand right away
Don't tell the teachers that. :P

my chocolate chip cookies are on the kitchen counter in a plastic box, milk is in the fridge, cups are in the cabinet. enjoy.

I wouldn't say I really believe in him, knowing that my parents put stuff under the tree, but I keep the spirit of "Santa is real", especially around younger kids.
I dislike the people who are cruel enough to tell Children things like that.
If my younger cousins still believe in Santa, then I'll play along.

It's a little bit awkward, though, because I have two younger cousins, who are brother and sister, and the sister is older and knows that Santa isn't real, yet the younger boy doesn't.
So, I have to say that Santa is real, which upsets the girl, because she knows that Santa isn't, and she expects me to be truthful, as an older cousin, so, it's like I'm lying to her face, yet if I say the truth, I'm upsetting the younger one.

I can eat and play sports with either hand, so I guess I am ambidextrous and didn't know it. The only difference is that the left hand is probably slower by like 1 second or so. I use my left hand for the mouse but I figured that's normal since some other people do it too.
You are most likely ambidextrous then.
Congratulations!

But yeah, if you practice with lefty a bit, you should be able to get both of them as good as each other.

12494
left looks prettier
I thought left looked a little bit sloppier, other than actually staying on the line.
Comparing the Y's, right looks nicer.

You could be ambidextrous, can you do anything else easier in the left hand than expected?
For example, eating your dinner with knife and fork in opposite hands, or using left-handed scissors.
I would imagine it is something you have to discover.
You don't often try to do a skill with both hands at the same time, so why shouldn't you start off only being able to do one?
You might just need a bit of practice with your left hand first, though, in order to perfect your ability to work with it.

Edit: Try writing a sentence in joined up writing with either hands.

i wonder if i have some weird ass disease like cancer or something

i wouldn't be surprised  :panda:
Yeah, it's not likely to be cancer causing you to have fever.
If it were cancer and you were truly sick with it for months, you'd know that it was bad.

But I don't see why you can't go to the Doctors.
If you're really sick convince your parents to take you.
Or if it comes down to it, get someone else to.
You really shouldn't be sick for so long without seeking medical assistance.
