Off Topic / Re: Your best internet friend
« on: January 27, 2011, 08:12:31 PM »
I guess Liquid, but strictly speaking, he's actually my best IRL friend, so, I won't class him as my best internet friend.

If by Internet friend you mean somebody who I don't know IRL, then it would have to be Darkeh, although he actually just lurks around here, or doesn't use his account.
But, I do talk to him a fair amount (when I have time) on Skype, and then I play Blockland/Minecraft/Runescape with him from time to time.

Otherwise, I'd have to say most of the regular people who come onto Liquids server and my server on Blockland.
But, I don't really have any communication with them outside of the game.

To sum up, Liquid if he counts, otherwise Darkeh, but not too much, otherwise I'm a loner as far as the Internet goes.

Unibrow has gotta go.
Seriously, just because you're a girl doesn't mean you wont have to shave anywhere on your face.
It's a good idea that you try to keep on top of that. They're very unappealing and are often points of ridicule.

Judging from your two pictures, you need a new hairstyle. Or just get something neater.
It'd look better when streaked.

And maybe it's just me, but your hair colour doesn't look like it suits streaks.
Your hair appears too dark/not dark enough (As in, not dark enough to add light streaks)
I'm not really sure.

They're temporary anyway, so just try it.
If you like the looks of it, then that's all that really matters.

Days then the schools are closed are both a good and a bad thing for me.

I love having a day off, getting to relax and forget about stressing over school, which happens more and more frequently now, as my final days in compulsary education are nearing, and a lot of exams are looming.

But, I hate then being behind and never really reclaiming that chance to study that little bit more for my exams.
Not to mention, every time I get a day off, my teachers treat me as if it's my fault that I'm suddenly overcome by illness, or the entire county has been hit by snowstorm.
Then they always rush us with the already stressfull workload that were trying to cope with.

*sigh* Weekends are a happy time of stopping and waiting.
People ask me why I don't do much on weekends, it's literally because I have to sleep.
Otherwise I'd break down during the week. Which I already did once, last week.

If this were to happen, and you could clearly see two suns in the sky, and it did look like two suns, I'd expect some awesome sci-fi films that year, what with not having to digitally create a sun in the background of an alien planet. :D

this
in 2nd grade i was horrible at typing lessons.

they should make people play fast paced action games while typing.
that'd make for a great typing trainer
I actually used to play one of those sort of games. It did help.
It was something on Miniclip which revolved around, you're some little robot tank in the centre of the screen, and aliens are attacking you from all sides of the screen.
It's all birds-eye-view, and you can see the aliens coming at you, and they have random words over their heads.
You have to type the word you want, and your tank fires and kills it, if you get it wrong, then nothing happens.

And obviously, it speeds up as it progresses, making it harder and making you better at typing, and if the aliens reach you, then you lose.
It was a good game, though. Definitely helped me a bit.

According to my friends at my school, I type like a freak, because I don't have to look to do so, I type quite fast, and my fingers know their way around the keyboard.
Also because I can keep my right hand to the right-hand side and my left hand to the left-hand side, and when I finish typing, if I don't move my hands away from the keyboard entirely, they move to a rest position in the centre of the keyboard.
With my left hand fingers over "A S D F" and my right hand fingers over "J K L ;"

But, this school that I am at, doesn't teach any form of computer lessons, unless you choose it as an option for a GCSE Qualification.
My previous school, and the Primary school it was joined with, would teach IT lessons, and the Primary school would more spefically, teach typing.

I was always terrible at typing in lessons. I was slow, I mistyped and I didn't know where my fingers were going.
But now I'm fast, generally accurate and can type without looking. (Lest my fingers require the numbers or the F# keys, in which case I get lost a little bit)

>we apprently nuked japan on accident

AHAHAHAHAHA
Dont you know?
The nuke guy in the American Army spilt coffee over the controls.

Before he knew it, he'd issued a nuclear bombing.
He was too embarassed to say it was an accident before it happened.

It's safe to say he lost his job.

And I do more than just use a swiss army knife, I can get 95% accuarcy with a machet when I try to slice a watermelon.
How the forget do you have a percentage accuracy with slicing a watermelon with a machete?
You either hit or you don't.
Cooks and Chefs get 100% accuracy when slicing with a knife.
It's a big green round fruit, and a machete is a long and large weapon. It's not exactly like swinging for a tiny fast moving person.

Your mother is stupid, the fact that she is so old is a clear sign of this.
You're pretty stupid to believe you're ready to go to war at the age of 14.

And do you have any older siblings, because that is a high age for a woman to mother a child, and a ridiculous age for a man to father one. Seems really old. As in, so old that they should have grandchildren by now.

Drama / Re: Makingblah - You don't know anything about alcohol!
« on: January 24, 2011, 05:22:42 PM »
Makingblah is not breaking any laws where he lives though, as long as his parents consented which I am sure they did. I'm not a fan of Makingblah or anything but you guys are focused on the American way of thinking. Over where he lives that's just what they do, they drink a lot and they drink as early as 10, and they even have less alcohol related problems than we do, so they are doing something right.
That's beside the point.
We shouldn't have to put up with him posting as a drunk.
I generally like the guy, especially ingame, but his behaviour regarding drinking is just ridiculous.

He appears to believe that because he is Irish he can simply boast about drinking.
Alcohol has been in my country for just as long. I don't boast about drinking.
This is the crap that gives Ireland a bad name. If they insist on going by the stereotype of being a country full of criminals, drunks and thugs, then they can be seen and treated as such, without dignity and respect.

Trying to bring that culture here, and insisting it's reasonable and respectable, is just stupid.
We definitely need to hear all about your hard-drinking (Especially after a topic where you were worried about people drinking) on a forum based around a Lego-style computer game.

This was the saddest attempt at looking intelligent ever
This was the rubbish that was all written in that Paradox and Impossible situations, topic we had a while back.
It was all proven wrong back then.

Look outside your window, you can see movement.
If you lock yourself away in your brain, you just get lost.
There's more to life than just thinking about it all.
i think i understand now
you cant move 10 feet in one instant of time because you must first move 1 decimeter?

But the time it takes to move that 1 decimeter is a small fraction of the time it takes to move 10 feet.
It all fits into each other. It's all relative.

Jesus christ.
I'll sum it up.

Doing anything is impossible. If you want to walk one mile, you first must walk a half-mile.
To do that, you must walk a quarter-mile.
And so on, and so on.

By that standard, moving is impossible.
There is an almost infinitely small measurement of distance, which is as small as you can get.
You can't go half of it, you can only go the whole length.
Therefore, you go single-unit by single-unit, which is in turn just a section of a larger unit.

Just because you can continuously half something doesn't mean you can't get past it.

I can move 1cm, regardless of the fact that there is a half cm in it, and a half of that and so on and so forth.

As a functioning living creature, with a correct grasp on how I behave in the physical world, I can move.

I meant for the search bar at the top right.
Drop down menu, next to the Yahoo Logo.
It should allow you to choose between Google and Yahoo and any other search engines you have.

Apple earphones are absolute stuff
I quite like mine.
They're quite comfortable and actually stay in my ear very well.
The sound isn't bad either.

I had that before, but it looked ten times better. For once the tomato had its shape still.
Oh how awesome those blood sausages were.
I couldn't find a very good picture that encompassed the general ingredients.
But yeah, it is brilliant, but is likely to vary in appearance from time to time.
Depends on how well you cook your tomato, and if you split it or not.
Not to mention how the eggs go or the bacon.

Really, it's a fairly tempermental meal.
But the best breakfast to wake up to.
It's also the only breakfast that I know of, that is 100% acceptable as Dinner, too.

Unless you enjoy cornflakes for dinner.
