Off Topic / Re: Headphones or earphones?
« on: January 24, 2011, 02:04:40 PM »
I've got some very nice SkullCandy headphones.

Feel really comfortable, sound is beautiful, and if I take them off my ears and lay them down, they make fairly good temporary speakers.
(Unfortuantely, I didn't notice my new computer has no speakers, and all the old speakers that I have are very crappy, or aren't compatible with the computer. Mainly because my family has been using Laptop's for so long.)

If you get a nice quality, stays-in-your-ear, comfortable earphone, they can be luxurious.
They're also slightly better for me, as I wear glasses.

As anyone with glasses may know, headphones can cause your ears to press down on your glasses, which is very uncomfortable.

Breakfast, the Full English way.

Delicious. And it doesn't look half as terrible.

Besides, who wants leftovers for Breakfast?

Star Wars Cops made me laugh.

Injured Stormtrooper was fairly funny too.

Off Topic / Re: Halo Reach

I prefer Halo.
There's more variety and interesting ways to play than CoD.
Plus, the storyline seems much more interesting, and it's nice to have an expansive backstory, which this game is all about filling in.

I also believe that the common player on CoD is more obnoxious, stupid and seems to own a microphone, whereas I encounter far fewer players on Halo: Reach whom are loud and annoying as well as using a microphone. And if it is a squeaky voiced 10 year old squealing at you, just mute them.

Unfortuantely on Halo, though, there is a lot of prejudice, or so I have seen, of people believing anyone with a higher rank is a god.
Which is entirely untrue, as it's possible to reach top ranks from just continuously playing the campaign, as well as using some of the exploitable aspects of the game to get a large amount of credits.
This is pretty much done from timing and spamming a lot of Offline kills to get commendations, which in turn give large credit boosts.
But, just because you're a Private Rank and someone is a Hero, doesn't mean you can't just kill them.

Handy tip when playing online, is when using the Assault Rifle, if at mid to long-range, take short controlled bursts at the target.
It will take their shields down really easily, allowing for a quick kill with some more bursts to the head.

Why will you have to share a bed?

Your parents are leaving you with a bunch of drunken teenagers to sleep with them?

pics or it didn't happen.

Afraid of the dark, afraid of death, afraid of stinging insects (bees, hornets, etc.), and afraid of confined spaces.
Oh, god.
I am definitely scared of bees and wasps, and most likely all other stinging animals.
I hate when documentaries, and other such programs, where they're showing stinging creatures, or biting creatures, like ants, or scorpions, and the person holding them simply says "They're no worse than being stung by a bee"

Bee stings hurt! ;-;

General Discussion / Re: Blockland TV Commercial?
« on: January 20, 2011, 09:47:37 AM »
I'm all for advertising the game. It'd be nice to have an influx of new players to the game.
Just because you guys want to have a game in which you can hermit, doesn't really mean we shoulod try and keep people away.

Besides, it would most likely not attract a large enough crowd, if it were on TV. The only way it would possibly attract a large crowd, if it was on prime-time TV, which would cost a lot.
This is why you don't see Indie game creators advertising on TV. It costs a fair amount, and if you don't get your money back, it was pointless.
Which is why producers of console games, or widely known games, like WorldOfWarcraft get advertised on TV.

And then when you have games like Runescape, which has a lot of players, they probably get popular, primarily through word of mouth.
It would have to be through gossiping and GoogleAd's that you'd ever advertise a game like this.
Especially since Blockland is run by a single person, and doesn't have a company or a team backing it, like Runescape for example, or even Minecraft with Mojang (Which will no doubt, start advertising once they get a couple of games set up and working)

I don't see how that's relative, considering it's lolbot's website.

But then again, if he doesn't want his product shown there, then that's his right to have it removed, I guess.

But I don't see why he'd have a problem with it. It's still advertisment of Blockland. Even if people bu it just to test it out, he's still making money.

Also, it's nice to see it up. I like the finished product.
Will all previous Blockland related images be moved there?
Like when Minebot was put up?

Off Topic / Re: Lego island 1 or 2?
« on: January 18, 2011, 06:34:31 PM »
I never managed to play Lego Island 1, as my game was buggy, and whenever I entered a building or vehicle, the whole screen flashed white lights.
I wasn't allowed to play it, incase I was succepptible to epileptic seizures, and also because even without being at risk of seizures, it's stupid to look at flashing white lights.

But Lego Island 2! Fantastic!
Brilliant game!
So many memories, and it combines loads of different Lego Sets!
Knights, Space, Lego Island, Dinosaurs!

I'd recommend Lego Island 2.

These are only a forums.
You don't have to be the centre of attention, nor do you have to see or comment on everything.

Just take a break from posting, and post when you've thought about what you're going to say, or are in a state of mind where you are sure that your post will be productive, or interesting or funny.

It also helps to have a very good grasp of correct grammar, or atleast acceptable grammar.
