Well, I don't know much about Irish politics, but I'm all for a united Ireland!
Under the rule of Great Britian.
Pardon, there's now a bunch a bunch of angry people outside knocking on my door. Brb answering door
Let me put this in terms you'll understand.
. ' . ' .
I don't know if your joke was saying the wrong nation, but Glasgow is in Scotland, and Scotland is not Ireland.
Everyone was confused because they were talking about Scotland, and you mentioned Ireland instead.

what about Z and 7, do you guys put a line through either of those (or both)?
I don't put one through Z, but I do for 7, but mainly because I put a tick on the top of a 1, and when I rush my 7s can looks like 1s.

Forgot about this.
This is a good choice, especially if you get the Freelancer mod, or any modpack that incorporates it.

It gives you the option to join up with another lords army, and work your way up the ranks.
You don't have control of what battles he gets into, and you attack with his army (although can decide what exactly you do).

I do it without a loop.
A loop is too immature for such a serious number.

Can I use the airport if I'm sided with the institute?
Yes, but I found the place very awkward to build in, when I tried.

There are very very few spaces for food and water pumps (no standing water, so no water filters).

There are also a few concrete bollars you can't remove, which restrict your building.
Plus the size is very very small, and it's restricted by concrete walls, which have some holes in them, which you can't patch easily with the materials available.

I wouldn't recommend it as a settlement site, maybe just a personal house.
It's really only intended for one mission, where you have to build some large items, and can choose to do it with the Brotherhoods help.

Anyone find it a little bit jarring that your characters are given slightl background stories?

Mainly the fact that the Male Character is always a soldier (this I don't mind too much), and that the Female Character is always a Lawyer.

Meaning if you play as a female, your character in 2077 was an American lawyer, then the bombs dropped, and they were frozen, and they wake up in 2287, but to them it's been minutes since the bombs fell.
They get outside, and within days, or even hours, they're chopping limbs off, blasting people in the face, planting explosives on priests, etc, etc...

Doesn't quite mesh.
They were very good to not impose much story on your character, besides being a pre-war married parent, but that one thing for female characters can imply just a little bit too much about your character.

Even now, there are quite a few mods I would really appreciate on the Xbox One. Particularly ones relating to settlement building.
Definitely can't wait for the Creation Kit and Console Mods to release!

One mod I would really love for consoles, but I highly doubt it will be accepted by Bethesda, is the ability to utilise the console commands.
Either in an openable menu system, or by simply letting me plug in a keyboard (or even use the awkward on-screen keyboard) and enter codes manually.

love/Rape/Prostitution mods will definitely be a thing too.

There are always several made for each Bethesda game.

LEGO Star Wars III has an RTS mode iirc
It's very very samey, and very very simplified, however.

Renegade is a C&C spin-off FPS game...but there's no commander and only prebuilt bases, so it's just an FPS
Aww man, I miss my copy of C&C: Renegade.

It was so old, and so badly looked after, that when I put it in my computer after not using it for about 2 years, and it not having a case, it literally exploded in the disc drive.

My mum and dad spent so long pulling fragments of disc out of the computer.

it just holds the game back.
Only if it's inclusion was to add to the game in the first place.

If there was never an intention to put it in the game, and it wouldn't actually benefit the game as is by having it, then there's no harm in it not being present.

Fallout 2 was not only full of loveual themes and content but you could even get date raped by Myron.
Well, I'm not too surprised that wasn't included in a 2015 game.

So, if you talked to her normally, which you should, but NEVER did anything flirtatious, how would she know that you're not looking to be just friends? I'm not saying don't talk to her, I'm just saying throwing in the occasional flirty comment is good to ensure that both she and yourself are reminded that you're looking for something more than being friends. If I'm wrong, will you please provide a counterexample?
Relationships are a sliding scale.

At one end you have enemies, at the other you have lovers, in the middle is neutral.
Part-way between neutral and lovers is 'friends'.
You can't get to 60 mph without first going 30mph, at least for a moment.
You can't get to be lovers (or anything else beyond 'just friends') without first being friends, at least for a moment.

You're not going to go from neutral to lovers in a heartbeat, and if you think that has happened, then you almost certainly do not know each well enough to be in a long or even medium-term romantic relationship with them.
If that is your goal, to be boyfriend/girlfriend with them, then you need to become friends first.
If you are just interested in a one-night stand, then you're still going around this the wrong way, because you aren't being forward enough, and you haven't even met her properly yet.

There is no such thing as the "friend zone". This is just a lie that people tell themselves when the person they have romantic affection for doesn't have romantic affection for them.
Becoming friends with a person in no way guarantees, or even implies, that you can't become romantically involved.
In fact, the opposite is true. Not becoming friends with a person, means you will almost certainly not get anywhere with her.

Even if you're giving her signs of your romantic affection, why would she be interested in you at all, if she doesn't know anything about you, or you don't know anything about her, and neither of you know if the other actually cares about you?

Do not trick yourself into believing in the "friend zone". You will come to resent every time a relationship you would have liked didn't form. And that will probably happen a lot, it does to most people. And you'll start thinking people owe you their affection, and that will change how you interact with people, and it will not make you liked.

The reason relationships don't take off can be for a couple of reasons. Because the other person does not have a romantic/loveual affection for you (which you can't simply create in another person), or because they generally don't like you or things you have said/done, or they're not even interested in such a relationship, or possibly are looking elsewhere (as they are allowed to do).
The reason your relationship didn't take off IS NOT because you got stuck in the "friend zone".

And Foxscotch is perfectly correct about the flirting.
It is not necessary for getting to a romantic relationship. It is not even a proper sign that you are interested in one.
There are lots and lots of people who flirt as part of their natural means of conversing with people, without an interest in others romantically or even loveually.

Your flirting is definitely going to mean nothing at all when you haven't even met her properly yet.
That's not to say don't flirt, but you cannot rely upon it to be the thing that lets her know you're interested in her.

Apparently it's not a bug it was intentional to have items respawn, unique or not. Dead Island did it and people criticized dead island for it. Now Fallout 4 is doing it.
To be fair to Dead Island, it made no difference whatsoever that the items respawned when you returned to an area.
Any weapons that were out in an area outside of a box were purposefully low-quality, regardless of level. The best items still came from crafting, quest rewards and occasionally chests.

The fact that fruit/cola reappeared wasn't an issue in anyway at all, because there was so much of it in the first place that it would make no difference if you drank it all first time you came through, and even if you had, there were vending machines that would give you infinite cola, for like $2.
And as for the likes of Alcohol, there was crap loads of that too.

The only really annoying thing about areas reloading completely in Dead Island, was that all the enemies also respawned, even if you went into one of the mini-dungeons in the area (like an apartment/cave). And outside some of those dungeons were a lot of enemies, including strong specials, who you had to defeat in order to get in, and then the moment you get out you had to fight them once again, this time without any chance to plan your attack.

Are there any benefits to using pipe weapons over modern profiles such as the Combat Rifle/10mm Pistol and such?
They happen to be, if not are, the most customisable weaponry in the game.

If there's any sort of gun you do want to convert from a pistol to a sniper, then it's those.
Only thing to note is there are two types of pipe-gun, bolt-action, and semi-automatic/automitc (depending on reciever used, I think).
Despite both being pipe-guns, I don't believe you can take parts from the bolt-action guns and put them on the semi-automatic/automatic guns. I may be wrong however.

Also, if you get the Scrapper perk (think that is its name), which allows you to get more valuable materials from scrapped items, then pipe guns become a really good source of screws.

A fully default pipe-pistol will weigh about 2.3, and you get 1-2 screws from it.
Whereas a Desk Fan and any other large object that provides screws, weighs 3-5, and gives 2 screws.
So, they're a little bit better to collect for screws, provided you watch their weight (since it can vary), and they're more common than fans are.

I have a feeling JC3 might temporarily take me away from Fallout, but jesus, I've basically played nothing else since November 9th.
Same.

I won't be on JC3 until Christmas though.
