fallout has ruined water for me to the point that i tried to play mario sunshine with my niece and hesitated almost constantly

I got it almost straight away on my first character, because I figured that getting around water would be quite important if there's a whole perk dedicated to it.

On my second character I didn't get it, and I nearly shat myself when I jumped in some water to start taking 4 rads a second.

I don't like dogmeat, he ruins my sneak situations, he wastes my stimpacks, he makes annoying noises.

Why not leave him at a settlement?
Also, you don't have to use your stimpaks on him.

I let him run in and maybe chip off a bit of health from the enemy, or hold down the closer enemies, but if he gets knocked down then I leave him there for the duration of the fight.
I save my stimpaks for myself on this playthrough, especially as I'm without a ranged companion, and I'm in higher level areas at a lower level.


Also, you can always command the companions to stay in one place when you're sneaking about, and then retrieve them once you've taken out the enemies.
Or just not have the companion in the first place.
Lone Wanderer perks is useful then, as fully upgraded it gives you like 200 extra weight, better defense, and better damage.

I tried killing dogmeat and they won't let me so I just forced him to stay in an irradiated pit.

What is up with you trying to kill every single character in the game?
Like, I get wanting to have the freedom to kill whoever, but if given the choice, would you forget your entire game over and kill everyone?


Also, you've already been told that all companions are essential, so why would bother trying to kill Dogmeat?

I'm making use of dogmeat this time and the lone wanderer perk.

It's nice to have someone along, even if they're not too useful in combat.

Only annoying thing with dogmeat is he seems to whine a lot, as if in pain, even when we're not in combat.
Not sure if it is a glitch.

Apparently nothing ever happens again regarding Nick after the memory den quest.
Seems it was just a joke, but it's a bit out of place.

Kinda surprised Nick's companion quest didn't revolve around it actually.
