The Nintendo Entertainment System and Cookie are both inanimate and so unable to laugh or hunt.
The Cookie Monster is a fictional character meaning he cannot hunt the cookie.
And this is just another way of me saying "I am not amused by your emoticons."

And yes you can swear, though some servers in-game will ban you because they are either little kids or just want to keep a clean mouth.

Maybe it's a tusken raider, in Star Wars Battlefront they make those kind of noises when they are blown up and die.

Bolt-Action hunting rifle
Crowbar
Backpack
Food
Anti-Zombie van(As in makeshift spikes all around and covered windows)
And if it were more efficient and realistic to obtain, a flamethrower.
Water filter
Extra ammunition.
You don't need much for a zombie apocalypse, not to mention assault rifles are a huge waste of ammo and the ammo is harder to find, whereas if you use a hunting rifle you can find ammo way easier :D
