who even buys newspapers anymore
there are next to no paper routes anymore

@op: find a skill you have and use it to your advantage.
good with computers? offer support for like 20 dollars per job. (more for stupid old people)
artist? draw stuff for people.
good at making things? make them and sell them.
smart? tutor people for cash. (some kid was willing to pay me to raise his F in physical science to an A through tutoring, considering I had a 95 average in that class.)

My parents buy newspapers and most people in my area do.

Next summer you should get a paid summer job, like me. I am 15 as well (not for long since I turn 16 in 2 weeks).

You could try getting a used Alienware on Ebay, other than that I don't know if $600 is enough.

What's that? Not doing great in school?! You might have a learning disability!

Don't encourage such attitudes.

This is the type of attitude which should be eliminated from the education system in America, and abroad. There are many reasons why kids may not be performing so well in school, whether it be because of the environment they are in at home, their circumstances, people they're around, etc. Teachers think they know everything and handicapped educators and will constantly call these things "excuses".

does your mum have any syndromes/disorders/illnesses? if so you need to live with it, Yes its hard and it will piss you off but try to just ignore
There are some parents that push their children too far, when you force a kid to do extremely well in school you have 1 big problem that is mentioned in the bible and everywhere, your child will not learn any mistakes and when they don't learn a mistake they won't know how to deal with it when their old and something goes wrong. Its best to be the person you are, I'm not saying "forget school don't learn" I am saying "if you have low grades you have a objective and that objective is to improve them" you should always be the person who you are, not the person that will never learn a mistake in life and suffer when he/she is older

I think the OP has taken things way out of proportion and most likely hasn't told the full side of the story. All parents sometimes will go through short phases of "I cant handle this". The notion that the OP's mother could have a mental disorder because of this is extremely absurd.

I easily passed the year? I don't know what she is complaining about?
~70% is more then enough.
Stress... Allot of stress.
But I am very emotional and cry very fast so... Dis is gon b hard.
I just... Didn't repond to 1 message I didn't see?

No offense, but 70 is awful and it is barely passing. I think that you may have to talk to your mom about how hard school and academics are for you, if it causes that much stress and you cant get your grades pushed up. There is a chance that you may have some sort of learning disability, which is very common in many, many people.

I'm glad that it's going well for you so far! I wish my teachers were lively and funny. Mines are extremely dull, stern, and boring and way too serious.

Caribou is slightly mistaken in it being the idea of taking their passports away, as it goes further to take away their citizenship.

The 'unethical' side of it is that it is againt the Geneva Convention to take away an individuals nationality and leave them without a nationality.
Cameron (and other politicians) would have these British terrorists lose their British citizenship, and therefore not belong to any nation.

I agree with taking away their citizenship, and that the Geneva Convention is a load of stuff (which it is, as evidenced by the fact that stuffloads of countries (including 1st world countries) don't abide by it), but yeah, there should be care taken when removing citizenship to make sure it's the right decision.

That said, I can't come up with a defence for anyone who willingly travels to these locations, particularly if they go solely to meet and/or join with militants out there.

I agree, the Geneva Convention is a hunk of crap. Cameron also said something as well which I think was completely on track, about how Muslims in Britain should 'be more British". Same goes in America, they should be more American. I'm not being anti-Islamist, but they do not integrate into Western cultures well at all, with the exception of few.

Oh, so going to Syria to shoot people up isn't unethical? People are loving daft.

Take their passports, and their social welfare. We're not gonna pay for your loving trip to Syria and back, cunts.

If they remain a threat to the Western world, then yes. There is no place in this world for Islamist radicals.
