Mapping Help / Re: is there a way to convert dif to map

They just open the default textures and edit them in paint or whatever. Torque interiors aren't like maps in other games where the textures are stored in the map file, just unzip map_bedroom.zip or whatever it's called and edit them.

Yeah I'd imagine it's broken.

Yeah, but there's a big difference between being broken and not working. Broken lags your game, has malfunctioning render cameras and spams your console with errors but still works in some way. It probably doesn't even load at all now. Which is what I was trying to say, but I wasn't very clear.

Here is the most recent version of the same mod:

http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=22850

It's still over a year old, so it probably doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure Windows ME could support this too. Probably earlier. Ever since a crtitical system error would result in your desktop turning white with a blue exclamation mark in a triangle and then linking you to restore your active desktop or whatever. I think you could also cause it by deleting the page you set as your desktop.

Can vegetarians drink Dr. Pepper?

I mean, there's so many ingredients that go into various flavorings, there's got to be an animal product in there somewhere.

Yeah, the poll is written with a bias. But if there would only be a bias in the results if people voted randomly.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Picking Up Physics Bricks
« on: February 06, 2009, 08:02:08 AM »
Yeah, just to clear up any misunderstandings, when we say "Physics will be similar over different clients," what we really mean is that "Different clients will see wildly different things and the same physics brick could have hundreds of units between them."

What is meant by "similar" is that if you put a bomb right behind a window and have two players stand in front of the bomb, they'll both see it fly toward them in a relatively similar direction most of the time.

A few people picked up on this when I made my big lengthy post about it, but most of you seem to have not.

There isn't any way to fix it.

And you're not doing it wrong. It just doesn't work.

I did this before and got banned for it.

Actually, I didn't get banned for the topic. Just for a random post I made a few months later.

I just printed the cube drawing out and wrapped it around an onion.

It didn't make any cubes.

But I finally did notice that the lines are acutually different amplitude waves.

Perhaps if you print it out and wrap it around a sphere it looks like a cube?
