In order to use that space you're probably going to flash the router with some new firmware. You can't really connect in the way you're suggesting to a standard router.

I don't know of any that will let you store files locally. Look through this list. The only ones I can think of are Untangle, pfsense, or stonewall but those are fully featured operating systems intended to be run on a desktop or rack mounted computer with multi-port networking cards.

EDIT: A lot of them will let you access the root file system. OpenWRT is one example. See if it's compatible with your router. Storing files on a consumer router is probably not a good idea. If you just want to see if you can do it, go for it, but if you're hoping to actually put that space to use for backups or something then you're going to want some more hardware to work with. See this link for some of the crazy stuff you can do with routers.

He removed glow, scroll and others because they were IE only at the time.
Glow was IE only, but I'm pretty sure they were actually removed because they are handicapped.

We could use Flash bbc. Example

I'm not going to lecture anyone but this is the article that convinced me that I didn't need any task killers.

I use Widgetsoid to create application icons with custom text/icons and no gray background around the text and Glass Widgets to display the time, weather, my calendar, and a bunch of different RSS feeds.

Applications that I use regularly are pretty much limited to Google Reader, Wapedia, Google Voice (replaced texting with it, it lets me check and send text messages from a computer and can email me voicemails, etc), Amazon MP3, Amazon (in general), and Urbanspoon. DroidTropes is probably the best (possibly the only?) browser for TV Tropes on android phones - the regular site is pretty much impossible to use. I use Plotron for 3D graphing. Electrodroid is helpful for looking up resistors, remembering the pin-out of various serial cables, and a number of other calculations if you do any work on circuits, are taking a physics class, or if you need to splice together various USB cables in an emergency.

Shaper trial version can still be downloaded from archive.org:

I remember using it to remove the scope from the sniper rifle so I know that the trial version definitely works. I don't know what kind of limitation it has, I think it's a 30 day trial though that you can just keep installing.

If he'll accept it, I was thinking Wedge.
Plan A:
My name is Wedge and I'm running for Vice President. Should Swholli decide to run for President, I would like him to choose me to be his running mate.

Plan B:
Plan B is birth control.

Plan C:
If Swholli declines, I will be forced to run on an independent ticket for vice president. On my own.

I've updated the main post with some better formatting and clarified some things. I'd like to take some time to respond to those who have posted in the thread as well.

If badspot doesn't simplify custom bricks, even making simple special bricks like corners or hollow bricks would be a pain in the ass to make.
This is absolutely a valid concern. I haven't really looked into the blb file format much, but making new bricks could definitely be made a lot easier. Hopefully the simplification of the code base will give Badspot and Kompressor some more time to make an official tool to design bricks.

Alternatively, we could organize a community led effort to make an unofficial brick editor. My understanding is that there has been some progress in this field but we are a long way away from having a simple brick editor for general use.

one problem-
What about collision?

If I remember correctly, vehicles tend to pass through large bricks.
A wall made out of 1x2s would stop a vehicle more than a huge 1 brick wall.
Vehicle collision with bricks would certainly need to be improved but it's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Many people play with vehicles on bricks all the time. I've done so myself, and really the vehicle glitches only occasionally.

Looks like this might make building harder, if anything.
Would you care to explain how this would make building any more difficult? I would think it would make it easier, since you don't have to fight with arbitrary terrain and interiors that are unaligned to the building grid.

I like the modular terrain but I'd much rather build my own structures
Nobody will stop you from building structures. My intention with structures was to make large scale city DM type maps quick and easy to build and to allow for better performance online. Building your own structures is still possible and will probably look much better.

Yup, whoever made the laws in my state considered any type of neon a distraction to driving.
It's also important to note that in some states, having blue lights or reflectors anywhere on your car or bicycle is also illegal because they're restricted to police vehicles.

Some old latin texts do not have spaces.

Will these set pieces possibly be able to have brick textures applied onto them, and if so, could they cope with the lighting of normal bricks?

Bricks textures for archs and such, because if a certain map was meant to be in blockland style for building, I believe it should have the texture.
Set pieces are basically bricks so they will behave in every way bricks normally do. You won't be able to put them inside of each other, they'll light up and cast shadows, you'll be able to apply events and effects to them, and you can put different textures on them or even decals.

You can buy enclosures for external graphics cards. I've seen a couple floating around for sale on the Internet.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Server Command - /removeHiddenBricks
« on: February 13, 2012, 01:33:40 AM »
The only thing this would affect is brick count; since those bricks aren't rendered, it wouldn't change amounts of lag.
Removing hidden bricks will actually decrease your framerate in many cases, since now the backsides of bricks that were covered now have to be rendered.

However, it could be useful if you needed to reduce your brick count because you just wanted to build something bigger though.
