AoT General / Re: the AOT encyclopedia

Just a little note about the dungeons, the tunnels, and the forest: They switch around every time the server is re-hosted. They are not static interiors, each time the game is re-hosted, the game assigns "cells" to a random spot and does a check to make sure all the doors are alligned, so you don't get stuck with an impassible maze.
In other words, no two dungeons, forests, or tunnels are alike. So that little section that says please wait until maps for tunnels and forest are incorrect, as they will never be available. However, if you want to find the enterance to D1 easily, hop on top of the forest using the hook or a horse and drop down the hole towards the middle. It should drop you on top of the enterance to dungeon 1, and if not, at least near it. Usually.

When I am falling, I shoot the hook at something.

AoT General / Re: why doesent red + yellow = orange?
« on: January 05, 2006, 07:02:48 PM »
Red and yellow make orange in the game? I never tried mixing it... It makes since though, because Red is 255 0 0 and Yellow is 255 255 0, and when you add them, you have 128 128 0...

So yes, bright yellow and bright red do make orange. Red and yellow would get you burnt orange/brown.

You didn't have to ask... But yes, now that it is late, go ahead and use it. I was just pointing out you will never be able to erase the red and white ink splashed on it. Pretend you spilled something on it while you made it.

Its because it doesn't follow the standard RYB color system you get with those nice fingerpaints. AoT goes by a numerical RGB system, as does most things, unless the developers put together a nice alternative system for the simplicity.

It fell down... He was trying to save the persistance to the map... And deleted the map, spawn point, and everyone except me. Then I Self Deleted and got stuck in 0 world.

The wal-mart one is preety funny. I wouldn't say code 3, I would run out into the parking lot, nab a random liscense plate number, and then say they left their lights on.

Looks like the poll got reset. Hmm... I didn't really vote, nor do I care to, most of them are ok... But the poll was reset.

General Discussion / Re: Felix's build controls

And in whos eyes are they useless? I agree with you that some of them are useless, and this one would belong in Off Topic. However, there is nothing wrong with someone wanting to share their controls, and you can choose not to read this topic if you wish. Making an accusation that every topic he has ever posted is useless is also particularly harsh as well. I'll give Felix a break, obviously he is new to the forum, but I wouldn't give a break to someone has been with the forum longer...
No offense Felix, but now is time to shape up, and be a bit more careful with what you post.  Distinguish between what people care about, and don't care about. You are allowed to post some slip ups, but not this many. Work a bit on your titles to. In example, demanding Badspot for male models is not a good idea. Requesting is better, but this suggestion has been literaly posted more times than you can count on your fingers. Well, granted I don't know how many fingers you have. But very good reasons as to why not to have them have been posted.

Who was that guy who always posted in red text?

I like the fact that I put the text directly on the map, so if anyone chooses to edit it, all of my text is in the way :P

I found the locations of Auric Fields and Distant Forest, but I won't put the dyes on a map. It makes it to easy for everyone else. Sure, I'm doing a public service to them, but what about me? Do I get a 5gp profit when someone looks at it? No, what happens is everyone crowds up the dye locations and I have to sit back and wait my turn. Thats why when I told someone that red dyes were to the South West of Port Town (it was a typo), I didn't go back to change it.</selfish>

Yeah, if you want to edit my map, put all the stuff you want on it, just realize my annoying red text will remain. But I'm late in saying this. Go play the game and have fun.

There is always the idea of not making a new shop. You know, sticking items in the plentiful epmty buildings in Port Town and Starboard Town? Put all the swords and shields in the blacksmith, and now you have rows of shelfs to put some bottles, bolts, arrows, or whatever on.
If everyone had a pet following them, that would be my first thing to kill when we got in a fight. Even if I died, they would have lost 2k or something.

Because you can dye it green. Then it looks stupid. You could dye it black. Since the sword is already yellow, you can't get many other colors than green, brown, black, or screwed up green.

Clan Discussion / Re: Brand new clan- [zom] clan
« on: January 02, 2006, 07:52:18 AM »
I don't want to burst anyones bubble, but the fact that the same 3 or 4 people swarm every new clan posted with anti-clan messages proves that some of the people claiming not to read it do read it. Its impossible not to read it. Its a good source of comic relief. Reading some of the posts actual of people trying to discuss or start a clan are preety funny, and some of the anti-clan ones are too.
You don't have to make fun of them, when they first join the forums. You can teach them how to use the forum with your skew of things, so that they become mindless minions who follow you! Heh... Nah, you just tell them how to use the froums. Eventually they will learn, despite what your friends tell you, or they will leave. Not leave as in quit reading, just as in quit posting.
There are a few crazy people who keep posting, but they aren't noobs, just crazy.

The perfect example or a handicapped n00b. I don't know why this clan isn't prospering theres a bunch of n00bs on this forum, but the reason it isn't is because people don't think their n00bs... lemme list some n00bs for you...

Funkymun
Felix
Spaceomega
Masterlegodude
People who say z0rz
People who say NOES!
Zero
Jakewood
POWER
mcase
Miga

Ask one of those people to join your "clan".

Hmm... Must... Resist the temptation to say something... Argh...
* Wedge dies.

Not everyone on that list started a clan :O

This is not a noob list. This is a hate list.
