Still, you shouldn't have even mentioned it you should fade out like all the rest.
That's kinda hard to do when I have people that actually care that I'm leaving. I would "fade out," but I've been getting so many PMs and messages about me leaving that I don't have the heart to just leave unexpectedly. The reason I brought it up in the first place was because people kept asking me for requests and how many more maps I would make, and I wanted to let them know that I would stop making content. That's when other people showed that they actually cared.

I agree with jimmg. GSF is attention whoring with the whole:

If you and jimmg have been paying attention in past pages, I've been trying to avoid talking about it. But, now that people keep bringing it up I'm being nice. People don't seem to understand that I don't want anyone to care if I'm leaving, I just want to inform them that I am so they know why I won't be replying to topics, PMs, etc.
No I mean Badspot doesn't like it when someone gets attention because they're leaving Blockland. But, let's just say I won't be able to contribute content anymore after I release the rest of my add-ons.

This is a pointless statement. Videogames aren't a drug. They're just something you have the option of doing in your free time. No different than watching television or browsing the internet. To force yourself to stop doing so is stupid. You can reduce the amount of time spent on it obviously, but just quitting doesn't do much. You start wanting to play a game once in a while, and you force yourself not to. How does that make you feel good?
Well that's the problem, I have too much free time, and I waste it playing games. After playing games I feel like I've accomplished nothing. I've been addicted to them, but now I've decided to use my time for more important things.

Anywho, unless you plan on actually working (hah), that's no reason to quit enjoying yourself altogether. Stopping your maps is understandable enough (Is why I don't pump out models every 5 hours as I did in college), but games entirely?

I'm going to start focusing on architecture. I already have a design for a gym that could be built soon, and it made me realize that I need to move on from games.

Torque does have versions for other consoles but the chance of it happening would be 1/1000

Yeah, but I can still hope lol. I mostly just want to see Blockland with modern graphical advancements like paralax mapping, real-time lighting, reflective surfaces, specular reflection, and HDR lighting.

The PS3's processor could genrate more bricks seemlessly. And the game would look a load better on Blu-Ray. PSN not XL
The PS3 would be more difficult to work with, based on balancing the cores and using the development tools (many developers complained about the Sony dev tools). Also, Blue-Ray doesn't automatically enable better graphics, and it would be a lot more expensive for Badspot, unless the game is digitally distributed. Garage Games has a cheap engine made specifically for the 360, and it wouldn't be that difficult I'm sure for Badspot to port Blockland on that engine. All-in-all it would be better for Badspot (as a small developer) to port Blockland to X-Box Live arcade because it would be less of a financial risk and take less effort.

Although I probably wouldn't play it, just make maps for it lol.

You better not play some other game and forget about us :).

i cant even get the boats in the water, and ythe plane wont work. the only thing that is phun in the pack is the beach ball T_T
Try using the gravity gun or spawn the boats in the water, close to the surface. And as for the plane, you need to take off and land in water for it to work.

So you want BL on a crappy PC with no mouse or keyboard?
That's subjective, I already have a low-end PC, as do many people who play Blockland; with the 360 everyone has the same hardware. The 360 also takes advantage of new graphical technology that I would love to work with. Plus, Badspot can do a promo with Microsoft's new full-body motion controller Project Natal.

I'll start working on the other add-ons later this week guys, sorry for the delay. I'm just actually playing Blockland for once lol, and I'm working on an event-based zombie game with an AI director.

Well man, good luck. You may start mapping again in the future. By then, blockland will probably have maps with scripted events like Source Engine maps. It will give you a lot more to work with!
I'm still waiting for Badspot to port Blockland to X-Box Live, if he does I would most likely start mapping again lol.

Supposely he's making a few more vehicals before he leaves. :D

Here is a bug with the jetski or the sunt plane,
when I am flying the stunt plane the jetski water comes out the back.
Yeah I noticed that a couple days ago. I think I just forgot to change the name of the emitter that I copied from the stunt plane, but I'll fix it soon.

Jetski was a bit fail, didn't like it too much.

40,000th Post in Add-ons.
How should I improve it? If it's the speed, I can't really fix that.

Too bad that your jet ski doesn't move, and that your fishing boat doesn't turn. :(
The jet ski does move (if you spawn it with enough room) and the fishing boat does turn (as a realistic boat would).

Well there was a glitch that prevented me from finishing it; one day it just started crashing at mission lighting, and nothing I did would fix it. So I simplified it and just stuck that in San Andreas so people could at least see it. If I remade it, I'm afraid that the interior would be so complex that it wouldn't be able to light it again (I really hate Torque lighting). I could try redoing it, but it would take a long time, and it's just not worth it. :/

thank you very much for replying to my posts! I would love to have the carrier even if only cars could get on it, it would be awesome. Even if you do stop working on it I would still really LOVE to have to have it. Well keep up the great work GSF! You are really just an amazing person, thank you again for replying to my posts!
