Clan Discussion / Re: New Clan: Calling All christians!
« on: July 12, 2008, 11:58:33 PM »
Stop bumping this. The clan is dead and bumping it will only lead to people trying to start more arguments.
And WRB852 how is Facechild exempt from that? He is being the epitome of flamebait.

Games / Re: Red Ring Questions
« on: July 06, 2008, 12:16:38 AM »
I tried the towel trick when I got red-ringed and it lasted about a week longer. All you do is wrap your 360 in enough towels to cover all of the vents so that it will overheat (which I think temporarily fixes the soldering problem) and turn it on. After leaving it on for a few minutes, turn off the 360 and unwrap it. It will be incredibly hot, but that is normal. After it cools down, turn it on again and try playing it.

Although, if only one of the four quarters is lit then maybe it is just some error with the cables or something like that - it should be in your manual. If it isn't try contacting Microsoft.

Drama / Re: YOU ALL RUINED MY DREAM

Yoshi you shouldn't stop drawing just because some members of the community insult your work, all that matters is whether you like what you are doing. You should still keep an open mind to criticisim though, and the best way to deal with it is to sort through the insults to find out what other people are trying to say. You will never be able to get everyone to like your work, but you can get the majority of people to. And keep in mind that some people will insult you just to bring you down. So keep doing what you are doing, and try not to take other people's comments too seriously. I've been dealing with criticism for years now so I know what I'm talking about lol.

In order for something to = another, it's existence needs to be proven first. I love how you always pop in to defend religion whenever anyone puts in down. :cookieMonster:
I only do it because no one else will lol.

I can promise you all that the LHC won't kill us.

And if I'm wrong, forget YOU, we're dead!
Unless the LHC is actually meant to destroy us just to prove we can? Nah...

the people that will argue against it are more of them religion folk scarred once again that science is disproving god.
Wow, a topic hardly related to religion and you flame religion for no reason? Sorry, I just found that funny. Oh, and science actualy proves God exists; God is eternal - energy is eternal, God is infinite - energy can't be created or destroyed, thus God = energy. And please no one take offense to this, I'm just getting tired of Bisjac's random hatred of religion.

It's all the same, y2k, the 2012.
The people that believe that we're all going to die because of some Calendar or THEORY are idiots.
It's not like hiding in your home would do any good...
Good points, but never has a single moment in time been so significant to so many people and cultures. Christians believe in the rapture and apacolypse, Nostradamus perdicts the rise of the antichrist and foretells of a devestating asteroid, The Chinese believe in the end of history, the Hopi Indians believe in a great cleansing, The Mayan calender ends and foretells of Earth's last day, The prophecies of St. Malachy perdict only one more pope, Albert Einstein warns of polar shift, NASA fears that intense solar storms are coming, Numerology brings about some signs, the celestial sign of the devil (according to the Mayans) will realign in 2012, etc.
I think something which we all can agree on is that the times we live in now are bad and are only getting worse.

stuff. Better not tell Jim Carry.
lol

As for this experiment, it would be cool if it actuall works. If it doesn't, well then atleast we get to gloat on how we destroyed the world lol.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: fish tank map

That could work, but it might be annoying to build.
Also, I messaged SpaceGuy and he told me how to get the bots to say on the z axis (to make it seem like they swimming), and how to change the bots appearance, but I have no idea how to do what he said. If anyone - who knows a lot about coding - can help then I can start working on this again.

Okay, I am glad you believe in it, but using Blockland ins't the best way to do that lol. The majority of people on the forums are not religious and there are a lot of people who just like to start arguments. Really you should just ask if people believe in it or not, and provide facts that explain why it might happen.

Great now we have noobs making up stories about the history of blockland and what's to come. But it's fitting to call it the bible, since the bible is just a lie written by the Romans as a tool to control people. Though this won't control anyone, especially since it's written by such an idiotic little boy.
I assume you're joking about the Romans making up the bible thing...

Okay let's end this before it escalates into a flame war. Sgt. ??? At first I was offended by this, but it seems you have good intentions. I don't think it is a good idea to suddenly bring up the rapture and use Blockland as a visual aid; it just makes you an easy target to flame - especially when you tell people they will suffer for no reason. Really, if you want to talk about the rapture reasearch it and then post about it in offtopic in a mature manner. And really, we don't know much about the rapture so don't force it upon them as a fact.

Oh okay, the reason I asked was because there is an imposter going around, and since he has a low ID people automatically think he is the real Ghost, so I'm trying to figure out what his ID is.

By Ghost you mean me? Because I don't remember going to your server; if so what was the Ghost's ID?

Off Topic / Re: Which Religion is the Best?
« on: June 18, 2008, 10:59:18 PM »
Ya this should be locked, and no religion is the best. I stopped talking about this because it is a sensitive topic, and shouldn't be debated - especially on these forums. Not only will be a lot of kids coming in this topic trying to start something, but sooner or later people will get offended and will start flaming each other.

Ya that's probably the only solution now. My apologies for this mess.

I don't even know what started this, but seriously. Get over it. The more you hold the grudge, the deeper the scar will be made. Stop acting like 7 year olds and stop fighting.
And I really don't want to debate this because you will only see what you want to see from my posts, and I won't admit I am wrong because I don't see it that way.  And it will just continue until someone decides they have something better to do.
I was trying to end it.

---

What the hell, you really can't immediately see what's paradoxal about this statement?

Quote
People who don't respect other people's beliefs are morons
Anyways, I regreted making that statement because that is not who I am, I was just responding in anger.
The ability for me to drop the argument and try to get it back on topic shows that I DO respect what other people believe, and I never said "my belief is better than anyone else's" I just wanted people to realize that saying what I believe is wrong is offensive.

---

And even that is disrespectful (even though it's not as obvious as the actual quote), since I attack everything you hold true by saying so. I am saying that you are lying or that you are wrong by disagreeing with your beliefs.

My point here is not to flame you or your particular beliefs, but to show that it is not possible to respect what everyone believes unless you don't believe in anything at all yourself.

Oh, and who are you kidding about not wanting to debate it? It's a forum on the internet. You only have to do what you want.
Okay this is getting annoying.

You can believe my views are full of sh** but if you don't FLAME me and you instead structure your argument into something intelligent, that is respect. You are RESPECTFULLY DISAGREEING with what I have to say.

You think you are right and nothing will convince you otherwise, that is why I don't want to debate this. Everybody else knew it wasn't smart to get involved, not because I was right, not because I was wrong, but because it is foolish to debate with people who will never believe anything else. Debates like this will just lead to more and more posts with less intelligent thought and more struggle to just be right and to have the last word, which is what you are doing. So, go ahead and have the last word if you really are that immature. Isn't it strange though that no one else brought this debate back up? Or when CityOrian almost brought it back the community purposely kept it on topic?
You won't admit you are wrong, I won't admit I am wrong. It's over, neither of us are right, deal with it.
