And meanings such as "stone our wives" could have been similar to something like today's saying "I'm going to kill him." We don't intend to kill a person, we just mean that we dislike the person.

Yes, I'm sure when the Bible said "stone our wives" they meant "knock that bitch up with a doobie, hellz yeah." I believe there is another scenario in the Bible where God declares that someone should be stoned, and then rocks are thrown at them until they are dead. Obviously, the word 'Stoned' carries the definition of being pelted with hard blunt objects until death. Nice try, but you fell short.
And doesn't "I'm going to kill him" sometimes mean you want to actually kill someone? Sorry, but you fell short.
Also, I must apologize for my incorrect statement of the murder thing. Apparently it's apparent that the majority of Bible have amendment 6 as "Do not Murder" instead of "Thou shalt not kill," which actually just proves there are so many variations of the Bible it's impossible to pick just one and know you're believing the right thing instead of just another collection of stuff.

I was born a Christian. My Mother, Grandmother, and Grandfather were all Christians. My Mother was a Catholic, my Grandfather is a STRONG Catholic, and my Grandmother is a Baptist. I never knew my father at a later age, so don't conclude he is the one that 'brainwashed' me into infidelity. I'm even Baptized. However, I concluded, on my own, that Religion is bullstuff. So don't even go off on a tangent saying that the only reason why Atheists exist today is because of bad parenting.

And if you just one day gave up on religion, then you weren't really Christian were you? Try this, pray and ask God to help you determine if religion really is "bull****" I bet you wont, but if you have any sense you will atleast try it and wait for an answer.
