Off Topic / Why did dq switch to using soda lids on their ice cream?
« on: October 13, 2017, 01:05:20 PM »
Like you used to get the dome lids that worked wonders when your blizzard was like 7% overfull and the lid when put under the cup would catch all the drips making a flawless presentation. Now it seems they have switched to using soda lids on the blizzards and they just smush down the ice cream that doesn't fit making messy and sticky. I'm just curious as to why?

Off Topic / I need some photoshop\ illustrator help
« on: August 11, 2017, 10:44:36 AM »
So I have this drawing with 10 layers, I want to put it into illustrator to tidy up my lines but the problem I'm running into is how to I save it and keep all of my layers? If I save it as a illustrator file and open it in photoshop it flattens the image but keeps the transparency. I just want to keep my layers and have neat and tidy lines

Off Topic / Need help finding a comic
« on: May 23, 2017, 10:46:47 PM »
I'm trying to find a comic that demonstrates when you're doing something by yourself and everything is going smoothly, but then as soon as someone watches you, you immediately start to mess up in every way.

Off Topic / Any tips on what to looks for when buying a bike?
« on: May 20, 2017, 12:43:12 AM »
I'm going shopping for a bike and I've never had one of my own before so I have no idea what I'm supposed to look for when getting a bike. It will probably be a mountain bike because I will be riding it around a park that has paved trails and forest bike trails. Other than that I don't know what makes a bike good. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

https://aws.amazon.com/snowball/
Tired of always running out of room in your waifu folder? Meet the Amazon Snowball. This baby can store 1 petabyte of data, that's like 1000 TB. You fill it up, ship it back to Amazon where they upload it for you to their cloud using their speeds and not your stuffty comcast speeds.

But like what if you needed more room cause' a petabyte still isn't enough?
https://aws.amazon.com/snowmobile/
AWS Snowmobile is an Exabyte-scale data transfer service used to move extremely large amounts of data to AWS. You can transfer up to 100PB per Snowmobile, a 45-foot long ruggedized shipping container, pulled by a semi-trailer truck.

srsly though, im not sure if im late to this, but I thought it was too cool to not share.

Off Topic / Should I get a Nikon p900?
« on: August 12, 2016, 10:32:24 PM »
I'm really interested in the Nikon p900 because of the really far zoom that it has and the ability to zoom in on the moon with it. But I'm curious if there's something else out there that has more bang for the $$$. And is the p900 really worth getting or not?

Off Topic / Foods you can eat for a while
« on: August 08, 2016, 12:36:25 AM »
Having a one hour lunch break really cuts me short on time for something to eat for lunch. I've been living off of turkey and cheese sandwiches once a day for like two monthsmy breakfasts and dinners aren't as monotonous as my lunches are. I need to spice up my lunches if ya know what I mean ;] what else can I make that will last at least a week if not more?

Off Topic / Do any of you wear steel toe boots?
« on: June 13, 2016, 02:05:25 PM »
For my job one of the uniform requirements are to wear steel toe boots for 8hrs on concrete floors.
From what everyone is telling me is that they can be really uncomfortable and that I should sink a decent amount of money into a pair.

So I'm curious if any of you wear boots like that and or any brand recommendations.

« on: June 08, 2016, 02:54:47 PM »
I moved from working at a vet for 3 years at $9/hr to a farm supply store for $10/hr!!
I'm so happy about it because I won't have to come home smelling like disinfectant and I'll get 37-39 hours vs the vet at 3-5 hours! And I'll get experience working for retail because they are going to train my from the ground up!!

Woooo!!!
