GTA IV and that's because it's not optimized for the computer.

Just go more in-depth for that, its not because its not optimized for the computer its not optimized for your computers build, IE hardware. As a game developer its incredibly hard to make your games work well on every type of setup.

The only game where it lags is GTA IV and that's because it's not optimized for the computer. I can run it on medium to high but not full.

GTA IV is relies on Graphics card Memory, I have 2GB's meaning I can play it really smoothly.

The processor is a i5 2500, 3.30 & turboboost to 4.00GHZ.

and RAM is 8GB. - speed 1333MHZ. 2x 4GB RAM sticks, both running at.

Sounds good, although i5's a bit out of date now though still good.

Having a good GFX card doesn't work if you have a crap CPU/RAM. My old custom built computer I had my 2 9800GT's except the CPU was ass and it really didn't make a huge difference, when I got my new CPU my GFX cards now work at their full potential. Don't get me wrong having a good GFX card will help but the majority of games use your CPU then GFX cards.

I built a new computer and it doesn't work. AKA I'm dealing with this like 7 year old computer another 7 years. All I know is Steam takes up a good 100mb+ RAM in itself.

Thats forget all, get more RAM.

Steam is a CPU eater. Making it a requirement to run your Blockland would be hell. Transferring over ID lists and creating compatibility would be a pain. Just not worth it at this time.

If your computer is from the early 2000's... oh wait Steam been around since then, guessing 1990's? And just because its on steam doesn't mean you have to make it completely work with Steam, half the games I own with steam don't even have join friends game option. To be honest if it was on steam I think the profits would outweighs the amount of work.

Windowed 1600x900, I always play games like this windowed (sims, gmod, etc)

So do I, if the game doesn't require my full attention I usually go windowed so I can multi-task while playing the game.
