Getting pretty sick of the level of quality of the add-ons being submitted to RTB recently. I'm almost done with the refactoring changes for the add-on scanner and once this is done I'm going to integrate it into the upload form so users get a list of things to fix before they even complete the submission process. This should be done and put live at some point this weekend.
The scanner will perform a scan at stage 3 of the submit process, and you'll be presented with a list of warnings and errors about your file. You can either fix these or just submit the file anyway - but if you choose to submit without fixing the errors then we won't open an issue with you about it, it'll be put into the Fail Bin. There could be some cases where the scanner misidentifies something, so just submit it anyway and I'll approve it and alter the scanner rules.

would it be more specific such as "I like John's RP server but I don't care for his freebuilds, just let me know when the RP is back up!"
Perhaps this idea demands the addition of proper tags for servers? I personally would like to see some method of filtering out certain types of servers based on tags.
That was my initial argument against having server favorites. I think people are going to have to live with it being by host ID until a better way of identifying the servers you like is possible.
When I said this was hard to implement - I was referring specifically to the notifications of your favorite servers going online. Having a list of favorite servers is super simple.

You can mark servers as favorites, and Connect will give you a message when one of them starts up, and you should also be able to look at all of your favorites that are currently up.
I think a feature like that would be quite a pain for me to implement logistically. Lots of people are pretty enthusiastic about server favorites and originally I was pretty against the idea, but I will put some more thought into how I could do this.
