You get unbanned like dis:Reinstall RTB,tadah,you get unbanned,It happened to me once,I just got Blockland Uninstalled,Reinstalled BL,I got unbanned.

I can vouch for this, it is a bug in my poor coding.


Bottom line is, you don't get randomly banned from #rtb - we don't have an IP raffle and pick names out of a hat for our daily banning session. You must have done something at some point and got caught. Deal with it.

The thing that annoys me is how the emitter and sound lists are flooded with "someCrappyVehicleSplashEmitte r" which is exactly the same as "jeepSplashEmitter" and so on.

The most helpful thing would be for someone to write a tutorial on how to avoid this which we can then redirect people to when reviewing add-ons as opposed to explaining the concept behind it each time.

I'll be making more changes to the scanner to identify these issues. Part of my v4 plan is to have a public-facing scanner output before you submit your file which highlights any outstanding issues like stereo sounds or missing textures and files. It'd be nice to be able to provide people with links to help them fix issues listed in the scanner output.

I did something like this for another project I worked on. This is going to look like ass because you can't orient and offset the mounted arrow dynamically to match where it hit - it was only something I solved through a C++ solution.

That's probably a good idea. I'll think about that when refactoring.

I don't think people would read it though. I think it's more a case of lessening the exposure even further so they're not even mentioned on the news feed either, but a reason to give to the author would also be good.

You have to get the datablock from the item (%item.getDataBlock()) and from that you can access the networked member variable "uiName" which contains the item name.

Well you know, taking someone's words and twisting them back at them usually indicates that you're challenging what they said. So the answer to your question would be "because you give all the right indications that you are challenging them."

I think you're mad that I hit the nail on the head, and you're embarrassed about it (which is why you wouldn't give the real reason earlier in the thread) and now you're trying to get revenge passively aggressively.

I'm going to try and get v3.4 out within about a week. I'm foregoing any sort of beta testing and just doing it all myself since the changes are so localised.

Since this change interferes drastically with the mission loading process, anything going wrong could prevent you being able to spawn in servers so I'm taking extra time making sure there is correct handling for anything that could go wrong.
