I've had a 1TB external for like a year now and it's only about 1/3 full. It's mostly for backing stuff up so another 1TB will be plenty of space for sure. What else do I need to worry about - processor speed?

OK so someone else said the 7200rpm hard drive would make things a bit slower and that I should get a 32gb SSD for the OS only and put everything else on a HDD. Sounds kind of extreme though.

The 5870 is an awesome card, you will love it.  It's great value for the price, there is no need to go with another card right now.  Don't worry about it.

I've gotten pretty frustrated with the poor support for Bad Company 2 despite ATI's endorsement of the game.

Oh. That's the main game I'm playing at the moment ... What's wrong with it? That'd be a real deal breaker depending on how long they take to fix stuff like this.

While Makingblah is indeed gay and should lose his right to voice his opinions as a result of that, I have noticed DracoSoul acting like an starfish which is always cause for concern given that the entire forum population is comprised of starfishs. Looking at his posts I don't think it's enough to warrant a ban just yet, but he looks to be on the right tracks so give it a few weeks and then we'll see.

The main thing I'm concerned about is graphics, but the guy said I could just buy another 5870 and crossfire the two for some extreme power if I didn't like the single.
