Add-Ons / Save Saver
« on: April 01, 2009, 08:54:07 PM »
Save Saver
Keeps backups of saves you overwrite.

Description
The Save Saver will automatically take a copy of a save you overwrite, and put it in the "saves/backup/" folder. That way if you overwrite something accidentally you can go to this folder and get the latest one.

Files are saved in the format "saves/backup/Map_YourSave_1.bls" then "saves/backup/Map_YourSave_2.bls" and so on. To use one of these, just go to Load Bricks, then select "Backup" as the map and choose a save.

You might as well just download this because you'll never know when you might need it.

V3:

General Discussion / Re: Strange Brick Save Error
« on: April 01, 2009, 08:33:10 PM »
I don't know if there's much you can do really... If the bricks didn't save then there's no way to do it. It'd be a different ballgame if they had saved but weren't loading.

Looks like the save just missed some bricks, so they're not even in the save file so there isn't much you can do. Did you overwrite the older save?

Modification Help / Re: can you sculpt in milk shape
« on: April 01, 2009, 08:03:48 AM »
I don't know exactly what you mean by sculpt, but you can use Milkshape to create models...

You can move the verticies around like any other program, and I'm pretty sure they include some pre-made models you can check out like the Utah teapot.

Well the houses of parliament got infected by this worm, so if they were after sensitive information I have no doubt they'd find something there.

They'd also be lifting credit card details from online shoppers and I think a few credit card thefts will cover the low cost of data storage.

Infact that entire conversation pretty much makes you both seem kind of stupid.

And if you can see the process in the task manager, it's pretty obvious you can end it. If it ends itself whenever you put up task manager, keep task manager up at all times  :cookieMonster:

I don't think these guys are that stupid. Even the most basic worms and viruses can restart themselves immediately after you end them. And most disguise themselves as valid windows processes anyway so they're tough to spot. You won't just find "conficker.exe" in the processes list.

Some IDEs actually have key combos to comment out the selected block of code, might be worth looking into using one.

Yeah our server had some issues so I rebooted it, some weird hanging processes not terminating which were eating the CPU.

Also I am not in town, I just happen to have an internet connection out here.

Modification Help / Re: To jump or not to jump
« on: March 31, 2009, 04:40:34 PM »
Jumping is managed entirely engine-side and the onTrigger is just a callback from that, so you can't change any of that in script.

Remember:
Microsoft is offering a quarter of a million dollars for the head of the douchebag who created conficker.

There's a catch, they give it to you in book tokens.

Help / Re: Whats Public domain timeout?
« on: March 30, 2009, 11:59:12 PM »
I do believe it determines how long you have to wait until a person who was kicked can join your server.

No, once again you prove your idiocy.

It means that when a person leaves your server, if you have the timeout set to above 0, their bricks become owned by nobody. I guess its mainly for sandbox-type servers.

Point well made but I still think it was going overboard to get him banned from RTB.

Once again you prove your idiocy. RTB can't be used without a valid BL ID...

.cs.dso is a compiled version of editable scripts which you can't edit. You should be looking in the Add-Ons folder at .cs/.gui files only.
