I don't even understand how summer homework works. You don't have the same teacher the next year, so how can they verify that you did it? The only way I can see it working is if every teacher assigned the same summer homework for every grade and then they collected it the next year.

you get your assignment in the mail from your new teacher before school ends where im from.

There's a giant goddam search-bar, and the site is divided with a bunch of tabs for different categories. THERE'S EVEN A CHILD-FRIENDLY VERSION MARKED WITH A CLEAR BUTTON THAT SAYS "For Kids".

I'm not saying that at all...
I'm saying that kids shouldn't have to learn things they will never use, and replace the removed things with things that they will need to know.
EX: If I want to be like, a historian or something, I would want to learn about history and stuff, so I would keep that on as my standards, mabey add a language so I can communicate to tourists n stuff, and then add tax / law classes. its not that school is useless, its that schools are
1. teaching outdated material
2. teaching things that kids will never use
3. not teaching things that kids will use

Besides the point, can you look from another person's perspective, that does not learn about taxes, laws, ect, and agree that the school curriculum needs to change?
