AND LEAVE BRITNEY STOCKING ALONE SINCE WHEN IS EVERYONE IN THIS loving COMMUNITY AGAINST UNIQUENESS

Stocking is not unique and nor are we against uniqueness. I for one am against people who start a debate that has nothing to do with the question at hand. Stocking is a forgettard.

By what fraction could you end up with a decimal value such as 0.(9)?

Stocking, you're handicapped.

0.(9) will never equal 1. It comes close, it comes very close, but it will NEVER equal 1.

Now quit stuffting on this topic, idiot.

the formula for finding the area is similar because they're both shapes, but by definition, a polygon has a set number of straight sides, while a circle is theoretically a perfect curve, which is why you actually find the area with a different formula than you do with a polygon.

And if you're going to treat it like a perfect curve with infinite "sides", what's the point in ever referring to it as a polygon?

you have proved nothing by saying this.

On another note, I believe there is another formula to find the area of a polygon.

While b = base || a = apothegm || n = number of sides

Area = ban/2

Oh god. That is coincidence, I swear.

People with actual degrees in mathematics disagree with you. まほ~

Everything you know is a lie.

Not to sound condescending but why hasn't Gamefandan responded to a single thing I've said?

Ask me question directly, bro.

I need only to press F5 after waiting for five seconds to see new post.

because we like being difficult  :cookieMonster:

Moreover, we like telling the truth.

Since the formula to find the area of a circle and the formula to find the area of a regular polygon end up equating each other, I proved it.

Just a simple question, what are the reasons that you are attempting to quit marijuana? Any medicinal issues that you are worried about?

I fail to see how what I said was wrong. Convince me...

It is nearly impossible to convince someone wrong without first convincing someone you that you are right. And by convincing someone that you are right, which I already did, you also convince them that they are wrong.

I just convinced you that you are wrong.

Pay no attention to the handicap trying to troll the laws of mathematics.

Then explain the above. まほ~

This topic is not about your loving handicapped pseudo-mathematics. Get out, unless you intend to discuss the topic at hand.

I like how rather than taking facts from the OP, people are merely blasting their opinions without any stuff to back them up. I'm currently the only one with mathematical evidence.

A side has to be a line segment.

A line segment is perfectly straight.

A perfect geometrical circle is perfectly round and therefore is never straight.

Therefore, a circle should have technically unlimited sides.

A polygon has a set number of sides.

Therefore, a circle cannot be a regular polygon.

This is not 'traditional' mathematics, now is it?

In real life, when you get right down to it, everything has an incalculable number of sides. Perfect figures only exist in concrete mathematics. Concrete mathematics is for the weak-minded; Or rather, depending solely on concrete mathematics is for the weak-minded.
