should fix the normals inside the barrels

you'll also have to scale down the model probably, unless you dont mind it being so large. next time you can scale your model while modeling it to this reference object (import it into your file with File > Import > .obj)

both of those basically spam zones so i do not advise using it with any large build/brickcount cause it would lag the server a lot.

""""Rogue""""
rogue in the sense he wasn't doing this with the support of a large research group or whatever, just one prof from Rice University (who also was helping under the radar). even in china, most researchers are western-trained and have western ethics.

compared to other stuff the ccp does, social credit doesnt seem all that bad. but if this system continues to exist, and grows in influence, it will preemptively stop any discussion or protest of future and current ccp policies.

aka: if you think this is not that big of a deal, you either think censorship is no biggie, or have no clue how this system affects the social and media dynamic

so it's just an institutionalized version of what we have here. in the us if your job found out you bought a Annoying Orange hat they'd totally fire your ass. in China you buy some anti xi peepee merch and you gotta do community service for a month
not even close. if you speak out against Annoying Orange its not automatically put into a public record for everyone to view. sure coworkers or employers may talk to each other, but its not put into public domain in a way that actively encourages everyone else to ostracize you

also remember china does not have free speech protection like in the USA, and that this social credit score takes into consideration literally everything you do. unlike a facebook account with political stuff, has actual ramifications for your daily life beyond just your interactions with friends - for example it can make it tough for you to get a loan to buy a house/a permit to have children/get a raise even if you’re an excellent employee.

this is a way to turn social pressure into censorship while keeping the facade “well technically saying this stuff isnt against the law” and also not requiring the government to have to police things themselves, since most people would be willing to unfriend/ignore someone in order to get a better loan interest rate for themselves

I mean I'm not afraid of a credit system (we already got one) I'm afraid of being arrested for not pledging allegiance or practicing religion or having all websites blocked. And we're far from any of that
did you watch the video or look up sesame credit cause this isnt the same as the american credit score system, which is purely based off of your consistency of paying back loans.

this is a credit score based on your public profile and how much you shill for the government. the more you shill the higher your score. the more anti-party/wasteful stuff you post/buy/view, the lower your score (ex: playing too many video games, browsing western sites, shopping too much, etc). your score is also affected by the people you are associated/friends with, so you're naturally incentivized to ostracize anyone who speaks against party lines. your score feeds back into your ability to get loans, permits, coupons for online purchases, etc.

on top of this, china plans to make participation in this "social credit system/game" required for every chinese citizen sometime in the next decade, so it pretty much is the last step towards the ccp becoming a minor form of big brother.

with that mentality nothing can be fixed without some sweeping almost-all-at-once societal change which isnt realistic. and there's no guarantee you can figure out the source/core reason. even in medicine, symptoms are handled first since that's something you can actually act on without a complete diagnosis.

sure we cant do stuff here in america, but we have to keep in mind whats happened up to this point in time lest we just ignore whats happening in the world. stuff like this can carry over to other countries if its perceived as "good" for the people. there's nothing wrong at looking at this unfold in china and thinking "well stuff that's forgeted" rather than thinking like a ccp apologist or cynical person.

So what lol it's just quantifiable oppression. It's not like this credit system means anything. If you're a religious freedom fighter you'll be arrested anyways, not like this credit system is going to change that. It's like if the national socialists added aushwitz bucks that gave Jewish prisoners prize points for good labor which allowed them to purchase bread, but Jews without aushwitz bucks would starve. The question is, are aushwitz bucks bad, or is the Holocaust bad? If your hung up over the former wait till you see the gas chambers

This credit system isn't forgeted; China is forgeted. If anything this credit system is an improvement because it gives people an idea on how close they are to being sent off to a factory labor camp
china is forgeted cause of individual things like the credit system adding up to make the whole place forgeted. what you're saying is like saying spending an extra $1 on useless stuff isn't what's killing your finances, its your money management - part of fixing the problem is fixing/preventing "minor" or "secondary" issues from arising. you can't fix anything if you dont fix the symptoms too.

I used to think people who used macros were hacking.
What happened to macros?
new dup made it antiquated for anything past simple patterns like "shift forward plant" - i still use it occasionally, but usually just to plant duplications more quickly (like for stairs or roads)

system to measure credibility of law abiding citizens: *exists*
law abiding citizens: :0
watch the video/read up on the content in the video and think about what this means before commenting stuff like this

china's been pulling actual big brother stuff lately, they've even made aligning to party values publicly a social game with real life rewards (like better credit score and internet freedom) - look up Sesame Credit/Points to see what i mean. Extra Credits did an excellent video on this topic a few years back.
