i'd love to try out rock climbing but unfortunately i have a fear of unstable heights :(

to be clear: indoor rock climbing
its very stable and safe, you can start easy with indoor bouldering where you're never more than 5 ft off the ground (and will by design and training fall on your back onto soft flooring if your muscles do give out)
belaying/auto belays are great for the tall stuff, you're safe cause you've either got a person or a device rated to hold your weight and more, and you'll never fall uncontrollably

the main downside you'll have to face is pretty high monthly fees, so to get good value you have to go frequently (ie more than once a week). most places also have a day fee if you just want to give it a go occasionally/for your first time.

im getting a free computer and various home stuff from a coworker moving out of state. gonna make my planned pc build a heck of a lot cheaper, as i’ll only have to buy a gpu and maybe an ssd

ive met 8 blocklanders irl and plan to meet 4-5 more whenever it becomes convenient

it absolutely was surreal the first time i met up with the first three blocklanders irl (it was all our first time) but we’ve all become good friends since then

im going out for a little bit of holiday shopping in new york this year and already heard it earlier this month on the radio/in stores there, and its not even dec

also in a discord with queeba and probably will be vc gaming with him sometime next month, and id bet someone's going to wham all of us all at once, or at least me in particular since i got this streak going


the only way i'd get though this month is by the grace of god

a client mod can easily add a keybind to run the relevant chasecam delay function. its trivial to make it work as a toggle or as a separate keybind for on/off
