Do you want your shoulder muscles obliterated for five hours a day, just to go back the next day and do it all again? I thought not. Not to mention it throws off your center of balance when marching. I'd much rather have a strap that helps a little than having spaghetti arms the rest of the day.

Also, one ton sax? Are you joking? Saxes are light and they have a neck strap. Try marching with a baritone for five hours and try to not say "my shoulders are killing me."

Annoying Orangeet section is full of generic plebs who can't play and/or think of a different instrument to play, let alone have the ability to. The entire band can agree on that.
That and they are annoying as hell, but as a Trombone, I'm no better.

Band aside, and since no one else said it, BEFRIEND UPPERCLASSMEN! They don't bite, I promise. A lot of them are super helpful and willing to help you with homework. You get them as friends, which is a plus. The only sad part is when they graduate and your heart is shattered ;~;
