Greed... It is known mostly to destroy and ravage the world as we know it, seperate and strip us of all we hold dear... But sometimes, if you're smart and play your cards right, it can be a blessing and help us attain prosperity... Dominance... It can easily give, as it can easly strip away and there's something to want and desire at every corner, and sometimes, others will want it too. When this happens, only a select few can prosper from it, but as you know, when there is conflict, there is violence. This is a story of Greed and with it war and violence. Two great factions, two great armies dueling in the name of greed and prosperity, one will inevitably fall, one will prosper, but the question is, which one and at what cost?

Huff... Huff... Huff... The noise came whispered and raspy, as an armoured figure sprinted through the dull green and rather short, uneven grass. He seemed to be running at a desperate pace, his footsteps slugishly pounding on the rough ground, brown dust flying up as he stepped on a dry, grassless patch. Passing by a rather awkwardly shaped boulder, shaped as if it was a stone geyser, springing from the ground and jumping right, stopping as it turned to the side, but did not droop down, still maintaining a rather straight shape. However, this did not even catch the attention of the figure, who seemed as if he were a man, but his armour covered too much of his body for anyone to truly know. Soon, the figure reached a giant rock phase, standing tall and proud against the lumpy terrain, filled with all sorts of awkward rock phases. The figure, clasping upon an uneven little ledge and then setting his arm upon a vine that wrapped aroung the rock, before using his right leg to support himself onto a lower ledge, slowly beginning his ascention upon the giant rock, with slow calculated movements, and a firm, steady grip, he continued to climb. Then, he made a great mistake, he suddenly turned his gaze on the land below him, seeing that another armoured figure was right beside another deformed rock forme, it's armour painted a bright blue, and in it's supposed hands, a dark grey mechanism with a rather long cylinder attached to it, at the end of that cylinder, a thin large rectangle at the end. Supposedly, it was a firearm, one that the armoured humanoid figure upon the great rock dreaded and recongnized, then suddenly, the other armoured figure spoke in an alien tone, aiming the firearm at the humanoid, as the one that had the firearm was directed at him started to madly paw it's way up the rock phase, suddenly slipping and sliding down unil his foot touched a sturdy vine, one he could balance on, but now it was already too late. The Blue figure had anticipated this, suddenly directing it's aim down at the humanoid and firing, a seemingly invisible bullet, it's path only distinguished by a trail of smoke that was left behind it as it pierced through the human's heart, the one who shot the bullet supposedly laughing as others like it, with fleshy mandibles and two giant toes as well as other, purple coloured metallic machinery clasped in their hands. They descended forwards, talking in their native tongue as they started up the great cliff, slinging their mechanisms behing their back.

Later, in an unknown flat, base-like advanced construct was one single armoured man, his helmet had been taken off, lying on the ground next to a fine leather seat he sat on, the armour looked very much like the one that the murdered humanoid was wearing, the helmet was somewhat different, but it did not matter. In front of the man who sat in the seat was a vast array of small screen Televisions, one playing what seemed like a television show, the others showing locations of the interior of a construct that looked much like the one he was in. The man then gazed at the radar near him, sighing as if he were depressed. Soon, another armoured humanoid, this one which had the shape of a human female walked through a door located on the other end of the room.
"Jaques, I've lost communication with Kyle." She sounded like she was over the radio, but under that voice was one of great sign of worry.
"I know, Julie, I'm the one at the local area radar remember?" Jaques sighed deeply.
Too bad the radar doesn't work once the user is dead. He thought, frowning as he looked back to the radar, pressing some buttons on the metal frame that covered the wiring, as the screen that showed the television program suddenly flashed to the green radar. He looked at it, seeing a playback of Kyle's death, supposedly because he fell from a cliff while trying to climb up. Kyle was represented by a blue little glowing dot, while others, without the specific coding that was installed on his, Julie's and Kyle's Radar glowed red. He let the playback start from the moment before Kyle died and thought he noticed something as the playback finished, he rewinded it somewhat before stopping it, looking closely at the edge of the screen, then peering closely, Jaques saw a little red glow... Then he had realized something, Kyle did not have an accident, but instead was murdered by hostile forces.
"JULIE!" He yelled to the door, as the familiar female figure quickly ran through the entrance.
"Jaques, what is it?" She asked in a voice that was as if she spoke through a radio.
"Julie, take a look at this." Jaques pointed towards the right side of the playback, as Julie put her hand on her helmet, pulling it off and ran to the face the screen.
"What? I don't see it..." Her voice trailed as she peered to the right side of the screen, seeing the faint red glow on the radar's playback. Both now knew that the Covenant had arrived, and they both knew that they were going to have to prepare themselves, for another bloody onslaught, another battle, another great war...

Soon, ships from Earth deployed to the planet, which was supposedly named Keliah, which was the name of not only a great Covenant warrior, but also a Human Commander, who fought bravely on Reach and died trying to save it. Now the soldiers aboard them were fresh, filled iwth morale and the ambition to become a hero and leader, and Spartans who knew of the great potential that lay on the planet. It was the turning point of the war, each and every soldier who served would be making history, impacting the future, the actions of even one tiny grunt could change the tides of war, and it was all up to the humans and the Covenant to see who would prove to be victorious. Soon, the first of the human ships docked into orbit, as did Covenant Spacecrafts, letting smaller spaceships head into the planet's atmosphere. Very soon did reinforcements from both sides arrive to one of their many bases, and all knew that the war had begun, all knew that destiny was to be made, but the question is... Who will emerge victorious? And who will be the one to fall?

Welcome, to Halo: Shadow in the Light. Basically, this takes place on the planet of Keliah, where both the UNSC and the Covenant have found resouces here, plasma embedded inside crystals, useful for their weaponry, as well as metal ores that can be used to build their vehicles. The UNSC has found a large amount of oil, used to power vehicles, as well as a great cache of oil, iron, gold and even diamonds. Capturing this big planet will be a great benefit to both factions, and could decide the track of this war. This takes place a little bit after The Fall of Reach, which left both factions weakened. Also, a distant planet has been found that had a great population of Skirmishers, which otherwise, would not be able to be a playable character in this RP. All Halo weapons are available, but not all of them will be able to be accessed by normal members. I am looking for Mapmakers, a banner. I look forward to making a literate RP.

Rules
-No Godmodding, Metagaming, Ubering, Spamming, Trolling etc.
-Follow Forum Guidelines
-Unless you arrive at a mapped area, feel free to make the place look however you wish, this is a first come first serve basis, and unless the mapping is EXTREMELY ridiculous, (Purple sky and Unicorns prancing about ridiculous) It will usually be allowed.
-You may spam somewhat on the OOC, but no more than SIX posts of OOC  is allowed in a row, please, if you need to talk, do it in the OOC or via PMs.
-I, as well as the FModerators hold the same power.
-Asking to be a moderator decreases your chances to become a moderator, should you ask without putting in any reinforcements of why you should be a moderator, or try and push your luck with me if you are declined, then you are more likely to not be a moderator.
-Halo physics are this world's physics. Fuel Rod cannons will not cause people to mutate.
-You are allowed slight mods on MELEE WEAPONS. For instance, adding a handle to an Energy sword.
-ALL Weapons and equipment is allowed in Halo, however, you are not allowed to have complete domination over a great war legion.
-Moderators are allowed to be a higher rank than players, and may start out with a more wide variety of weaponry. If you happened to be in Halo: Fall of Reach the RP, you may use the same account.
-The only thing different from me and a Moderator is that I can ban them, as well as overwrite their decisions.
-Unless given an excuse by me, or in some cases a Moderator, you may not break any rule.
-Three line minimum if you are not in a battle/conversation, two line minimum if you are, and yes, you can cross the line by just one word, but try not too.
-This is a serious RP. Lighthearted spam and jokes are for the OOC, however, the occasional comic relief is allowed.
-Should you fall in combat, you will remain there until another player finds you, you may control your other characters, but they will not be able to find you. When you are found, you will be taken to a base under your faction's control and put into Stasis for three pages. If a medic finds you, it will be one page.
-If you want your character to die and stay dead, Make sure he's either killed in melee combat and his body is torn apart, or that he is blown up/put somewhere where no one can find him, like in an unknown valley.
-Use [text] or ((text)) for Out-Of-Roleplay chat.

Falling Sand Game is a particle toy - you can play with different 'elements', explore how they interact, and, in some re-implementations, make your own elements. It is great fun to make interactive structures, ecosystems, and toys.

-
You won't need help with any of the browser games, but wxSand you might. It's simple, except for the mods. Create a folder, named whatever you want it to. Create a text file in that folder, and drag the original game into the folder. The text file must be named default. Go to the page of the mod and highlight everything in the Code box and paste it into the text file. Save it, and open it to see if it works. If it doesn't, review this. If it still doesn't, ask me.

You drove them deep into the heart of Reich. You thought they were dead. You were wrong.

Storyline
*In Der Riese, the creation of the zombies and hellhounds is explained. Dr. Maxis was testing zombies for the government project christened "Der Riese" or "The Giant". The problem was that they would always go berserk and try to kill him, resulting in their deaths. He was also testing teleporters by sending zombies through them, but they never reappeared at the mainframe. All of these experiments were done with his assistant, Edward. When he used his daughter Samantha's dog, Fluffy, as a teleporter test subject, he accidentally created the first hellhound. The dog was teleported, but like the rest of the subjects didn't reappear at the mainframe. It did however reappear in a ball of electricity and mutated into a hellhound. When Samantha came running in and started questioning her dad about her dog, Edward left the room. Edward then betrayed him by locking him and his daughter in the room with the hellhound, which then killed them. And then another Radio message shows how after Maxis and Samantha are killed by Fluffy, Edward let loose the Zombies on the Factory, as on another radio message you can hear screams and the sounds of Zombies Moaning and Yelling and Attacking. How more hellhounds were created is shown in another radio message. In it, Maxis talks to his daughter about Fluffy's pregnancy, which makes it possible that Fluffy became a hellhound while pregnant. One of the characters, Dr. Richtofen, has obviously been to Der Riese before and probably worked there. He knows about connecting the teleporters and about Dr. Maxis. It has been decided that he is Edward.
Main Idea
You must survive against zombie Imperial Soldiers or German Soldiers for as many waves as possible - Shi no Numa introduced hellrounds, containing hellhounds that were mutated dogs that teleport infront of you, catching on fire when charging.

Map/Powerup Info
Maps
Nacht Der Untoten - first map, house, 3 doors. Mystery box located in help room.

Verruckt - second map, asylum, 10(?) doors. Mystery box moves.

Shi no Numa - third map, Japanese zombies, hellrounds, 6(?) doors. Mystery box
 moves.

Der Riese - Final WaW map, normal zombies, hellrounds, 9(?) doors. Mystery box moves. Teleporters. Pack-a-Punch(weapon upgraders).

Kino Der Toten - first BO map. normal zombies, gassers, hellrounds, 13 doors (?) Mystery Box moves. Pack-A-Punch

Five - 2nd BO map, to be updated when I have time.

Pickups
Max Ammo - replenishes all ammo. Icon: Ammo box.

Bomb - kills all zombies currently on map, goes outward from activation site. Icon: bomb.

Instakill - instagib mode for all zombies, including hellhounds. Icon: skull.

Double Points - double the points for kills. example: instead of 100 points for a kill, it's 200. Icon: x2 sign.

Carpenter(Der Riese only.) - Rebuilds all barricades. Moves outward from activation site. Icon: Hammer.

Best Weapons (in my opinion)
Monkeybomb - equivalent to pipebomb from Left 4 Dead, although it talks and plays music. Five second prime time. Only obtained from mystery box.

Wonderwaffe DG-2 - Fires electricity, that spreads between enemies. Can damage player. 3 ammo cartidges to start, with 15 to spare. Instakills enemies. Only obtained from mystery box.

Raygun - 20 shots per energy cell. Splash damage. One hit up until around round 18. Only obtained from mystery box.

Magnum - One hit kill until round 15. 6 shots per clip. Only found in mystery box.(?)

Trench Gun - Shotgun. 6 or 8 shells per mag. 60 or 40 max ammo.

FG42 - 32 or 20 rounds per mag. 192 or 120 rounds max. Fully automatic. Lots of damage.

Best Holdout Places

Balcony; Nacht Der Untoten
The further back room in the upstairs. Has grenade buying place.

Verruckt; Unknown - I don't play on this map.

Shi No Numa
Closet Area near the starting box point.

yeah i copied joshua, but he wasn't active enough and he didn't do anything about trolls and he wouldn't welcome people who suck at drawing. yes i know i'll probaly be flamed and possibly drama'd for this.

Rules
1. Be polite.
2. Teamkilling is fine, aslong as you don't do it EVERY turn.
3. PM the person you're trying to kill by saying "Hey namehere, I'm going to kill you by action. Go ahead and try to dodge!
4. You can have only 1 character.
5. If you're at the base, your character can't be attacked, but you can't attack.
6. Give them a chance to dodge.
7. Don't troll.
8. If you're in a small room, they can't move, and you have a weapon aimed at them. Ignore rule 6.
9. If you die, you're a ghost unless you're revived by a Moderator, or three pages pass.
10. You can use other's drawings with permission.
11. You don't have to be super detailed, but it needs to be clear enough.
12. No superpowers or supersuits or stuff like that unless approved by a Moderator.
13. I don't care what you use to make the picture. MS Paint or Pivot, it's fine.
14. Don't be overpowered.

How to Play
Just kill people, unless a special gamemode is presented. (king of the hill, etc.)

What are Moderators?
Basically just the guys who can blacklist people, start new gamemodes, revive people and approve superpowers/supersuits,etc.

(first time i've ever tried writing a story. yes, this is based around hl2)



Prologue

Click.
The unit's thumb slid across the shaft of the baton; he used it as a torch, illuminating the room with a blue glow.
Oh god.
They found James.
The venomous voice of the unit with the baton slithered out of his vocoder.
"Amputate."
The room lit up briefly, leaving behind a corpse and blood against the wall.
I heard footsteps approach the closet; heavy footsteps.
I made sure Janet was in the passage; I ducked inside, shutting it and locking it.
We were the only ones who made it out.




Chapter 1: The Outlands

Halfway to the end. I could see the glint of light reflecting off the walls of the damp tunnel.. I pulled the crate suspended in a side vent out, quickly opening it; I handed the 9MM to Janet along with some clips. I loaded a grenade into the launcher on the MP7, sliding a clip in. We progressed through the tunnel.

We blinked, the sunlight beating down at us.
We've finally made it.
The outlands.
"Janet... I think we're going to make it. To the resistance base."
"Look.." she whispered, pointing. Just our luck. A gunship. We were out in the open- the passage was shut. We ran for the nearest cover, a small shed, but the gunship saw us. We sprinted - as soon as we made it to a distance where we could dive into a supply area, we dove into it. I jammed the button and the steel door slammed shut. I grabbed an AR2, loading a Dark Energy orb in, and, grabbing a few extra clips, I gave my SMG to Janet. They'd be coming.

We waited. Two days we sat in the dim light of the lantern. We decided that we had to go out. I opened the door, and saw...

Halo: Reach

Yes. The prequel to all the Halo games. Sadly; the end of all Bungie-made Halo games. But don't worry, Microsoft (:c) is taking over Halo completely. Anyways; back to Reach. I have preordered the legendary copy of this game. I cannot wait until it comes out.

Combat
Yes, you DO see a spacefight in that picture. In one level of Reach; you will be the pilot of a longsword(?) fighter. There are also enlarged AI limits. In one level(tip of the spear); there are atleast 12 fully loaded Warthogs (36 people, unless some are transports) versus who knows how many covenant.

Weapons
The weapon you first saw was the DMR; a new semi auto sniper that does fairly good damage.

The magnum returns; I think you can scope with it.

There are many plasma weapons; my favorite is the Concussion rifle;' a new covie sniper. There's now an autogrenade launcher.

Legendary Edition
I preordered the legendary edition. But you already know that. As pictured below I get a special box, along with Recon armor, a special Elite armor, flaming helmet effect, Noble Team statue, bookbag, gameguide I think, and some other stuff.

Whenever I join a server, about fifteen minutes into it, it disconnects me from the server saying No Steam Logon; could not connect to the VAC server. then some link to a steam support page, but none of that helped

Help, please?

Help / Eventing Glitch

Well, I was hosting my Mirror's Block server when someone joined then notified me that the events for the signs weren't working... I checked some other evented bricks and there were no events. I loaded a different build and found the same glitch; then I even made a new brick (OnActivate>Player>Kill), which after I clicked it, nothing happened. I checked the events and it was absoloutely clear. Help, please?
