and i suppose the "wow!" and "this is great!" comments are totally welcome because thats not that same thing at all! you posted this, you get an opinion. thats how these things work.

map looks uninspired and boring, and overall kind of copy and pasty.


and, because the two pirate ships where people(im assuming, because there really isnt much detail in this topic) spawn is right opposite each other, there really isnt much of a need for this whole island. it seemed like its there just because it can.
"Control points are not necessary to win"



last of all, the concept of the server is "tdm but with pirates and pirate weapons". are there any boats you can ride, sea travel or something?

ideas:

maybe you could make heaps of islands scattered and big pirate ships on either end of the map. then, people must use dinghys to go with a team to an island and fight for that island and capture it.

team with most captures wins.

they play video games and are slackers

because i really havent given an opinion on the show, im going to give mine now:

ive only watched a handful of shows, so i cant really judge it for the merit of the whole series. but, from what ive seen, it seems like the show has a very childish sense of humor (threatening to fall into the pit of stupidity and immaturity) and made up greatly with slapstick humor. for other shows, such as spongebob, (before season 5, when the makers decided to sabotage the show because their network wouldnt let them finish after the movie) adventure time cant hold up to the amount of humor that is also directed towards the parents of the children. this is also in the simpsons. although it has a lot of "fall on your face, wipe the stuff off of it and say your ok" humor, it has a lot of stuff for mum and dad to enjoy.

though, dont get me wrong. it seems like an ok thing to watch if you just want to see some moving pictures or if your bored. it seems like a pretty good time waster that could be interesting.

and, if you like it, then thats fine. i dont judge people on their interests. they can like whatever they like, even mlp or furry research.

still kinda cube-shaped on the exterior

basically this

its fine that its rectangular shaped, but you should have things draping from the sides, like lanterns or something. it makes it not so boring on the side. also, maybe add some window-sills that go over the exterior?

the keyword that this build is missing on the exterior is charm and little touches that make a whole lot of difference

its pretty bold to let people rate a city with only two buildings in it

i suggest waiting until you have a solid start before posting

OT: anyway...

shop - boxy and too gray. it lacks originality and charm.

apartment building - much like the shop, too boxy. the building looks small compared to the character size and looks impractical for actual use. does it actually have any rooms in it? and if so, what size are the rooms? i do, however, like the red you used for the outside

keep at it, i'd love to see this finished.
