Attempting to animate the collision mesh?  That doesn't sound like a good use of time.  I don't think I'll be using animations at all, let alone animations of the collision mesh.

You need a brick to place a door.  In the screenshot i posted, I used the 1x4f plate.  The door and the 1x4f plate fit within the space of a 1x4x5 brick.

I've already begun work on an elevator system and a boxing gloves weapon as well.

Once I have full use of doors enabled, I'll look into filling the gaps.  However, I'll tell you now that I'll be going for aesthetics over realism.

Well, the gap is kinda intentional.  I felt the 'cleanest' way of handling door rotation was for the door to not intersect or collide with its frame.  The frame you see there doesn't come with the door, you can build whatever frame you like.  Also, the door will take the color of the brick on which the door is mounted.  Painting that brick will also change the color of the door.  The gap around the door is uniform (even on all sides) and, even though it might not be what people are expecting, it should be the the most graceful approach.

Here's a shot of me having some fun with an add-on I'm developing:

Here's the example I promised, as well as a sneak peak into one of the add-ons I'm currently developing:

Well, it's worked for every model I've done.  Ask Bushido, I flat-shaded a vehicle for him.

Badspot played a nice trick on us.  I just took the time to download the old Blockland from the link I posted.  It downloads version 8.  Lol, he renamed the version 8 build so people with the old link get the version for which you have to pay.  Nicely done, Badspot.

The easiest way is to write your own save method for specialty bricks.

Yeah, I'll post it if I can find it.

It may also be listed as eulerToQuat and quatToEuler.  I'm at work now, so I'll have to check later.
